SRAM road just somehow doesn't cut it IMO
Plenty of us have a different opinion, lever choice is almost as personal as saddles.

Andy- 'Dale over the Kuota?
-
• #5729
I would. New bike with warranty, versus a second hand carbon cross bike? No brainer. Plus the Cannondale is a great bike.
-
• #5730
Valid points, next question then is CAADX vs. SuperX?
-
• #5731
That's a budget question. Can you afford the SuperX?
-
• #5732
SuperX with SRAM. Lovely.
-
• #5733
Right now? No, but if it is a better bike then I can save up.
I could get either the 105 or Ultegra CAADX now.
-
• #5734
Off topic - Is that a 1 1/4" steerer? Looks beefy
-
• #5735
I'd get the CAADX with 105 or Ultegra.
-
• #5736
Pifko- which bike?
-
• #5737
I'd get the CAADX with 105 or Ultegra.
I'd like to get the Tiagra frame (matches the Rush I sold earlier this week) but with the Ultegra model components.
Odd's of a shop doing this- 0%.
Anyway, thanks for the advice Andy.

Dammit, get yourself a pink 29er.
Right folks.
Campag Chorus 2011 groupset, or Record 2010?Head and heart say record, but am I missing something?

SF- I just sold my MTB due to never using it. Vibrant colour choice, mind you.
And Record, if you haz the cash money

I'm with Andy on that.
Besides, upgrading your road C'dale wouldn't be as exciting as a completely new bike.

In that case you need a project not a bike.
Some nice carbon...

http://www.fatbirds.co.uk/detail.asp/sku=FFHFCX010/Van_Nicholas_Amazon_Cross_Cyclocross_FrameBoth around £1k for the frameset.
I'm working on funds. Had decided on Chorus but then 2010 record started becoming doable.

Our flat is my project- pretty much all my spare time is spent sorting that out, I'd prefer to walk into a bike shop, point and say "that one please".
I think that Cannondale is a potential winner.

Cannondale - Amazing. Until they moved all their factories to Taiwan.
But to show off my steed anyway :

Both around £1k for the frameset.
If anybody has something like that going second hand...
I need a XC bike in my life. I haven't used my MTB GT for a couple of years now, but would love to go off road a bit. -

I googled the 105, and from the shopping results the cheapest* is £995 from All Terrain Cycles. Primera are selling at £1k and doing 15% off until 15th Jan...
http://www.primera-sports.com/products/cannondale-454/cannondale-2011-caad-x-105-8342.aspxThere are probably sites with their listing not shown on Google shopping though to be fair...

CTC card=10% off at Evans, so the 105 should be £900.
I've not tested this- but have been told it is true.
-
• #5747
Evans may price match, not sure...

I work round the corner from the Cut, will pop in and check the lie of the land.

Anyone know what film these are from?
Buy the Cannondale. You know you want to.
