  • You gonna be racing it in the hills?

    mudguard thread

  • I need some help regarding mail merge. I need to create something where people are allocated into certain template letters.

    They are titled as follows:

    Your child is under weight...
    Your child is normal
    Your child is over weight
    Your child is obese.

The software will have data for height, weight etc... and it will work out the BMI.

I need to some how define certain BMI categories and the mail merge will work out whose name goes into what template.

I work in School nursing as the admin. The letters will be written by the nurses of course, so not to offend.

Is this possible at all? Thanks.

You could ask the question about BMI categories here, MinhDinh:

Loads of experts (in all categories).

As for the mail merge question, presumably you'll have a spreadsheet as its basis?

    HTH.

  • Hmmm. Ok, but BB7 don't seem to get amazing reviews.

With compressionless housing, I have excellent result with the BB7 Road that it felt more like a centerlevers brakes.

JB have the same set-up as I sold the bike to him, you can ask him what he think of it.

TRP Spyre is the best cable operated one for the money due to both pads moving rather than just the one (like the BB7) that allow an even wear, I'm going for a Campag and TRP set-up with yokozuna reaction housing.

tester's right, ignore the weight and concentrate on the build, my Oak end up being 12kg with all the trimming (including front bag), but never felt it.

  • @ Oliver. Always a helpful chap :)

The spreadsheet will be the source yes. I have played around with it and I don't think it's smart enough to work out the categories :(

I'll ask in those threads once I get access to a laptop in a bit. Thank you :)

  • MDC / Scobles / Dammit. Much thanks, very help.

Dammit - I prefer the Campag hood shape.

MDC - fair enough on the weight. I have a similar-ish set up at the moment, but on a Soma frame with heavier kit. It is just a bit heavier and thus more tank like than I'd ideally like. I'm musing on the possibility of a rebuild with lighter kit that feels a bit brisker.

  • Does it rain a lot / often / heavily in thailand and hong kong circa april-may?

What are good clothes to take?

  • I have a requirement for a few one-off printed flexible PCB's.

Does anyone have the wherewithall to create these, or can recommend a company or individual who can?

When it rains it REALLY rains!

Take as little as humanly possible, good quality knock-off clothes and silk are so cheap in Thailand that I often used to go to the market and get an entire set of clothes for the evening, change from a tenner!

    You?

How complicated is the circuit? Could you use some plain board for physical mounting then wire it point-to-point on the reverse?

Thailand - my mate would pack a bikini, credit card, and her handbag and just buy EVERYTHING out there...
    (not so in HK).

pack breathable cottons, shirts, light jumper for air conditioned restaurants

  • Are front and rear road brake calipers the same but for the longer screw on the front? So would I be able to use a front caliper on the rear by just cutting the stud down?

Follow this advice, but omit bikini if male, otherwise your future involves excess baggage charges.

Quite likely you'll need to extend the thread too, they don't usually have enough to allow mere shortening to leave enough thread to engage safely.

  • Richmond Park is closing at 17:00 today but it says in the PDF that pedestrian gates are open 24h; if I have a bright light can I ride safely this evening?

In general, that's true - you can get through the ped gates with a bike. I believe the deer cull is on at the moment though, so ped gates also close - but a bit later, at 20:00.

  • I think you need to ask a different, more important, question. Are they culling deer in Richmond Park tonight?

  • Has anyone ever made a bicycle frame out of bone?

It was in november for 4-6 weeks ..

  • It depends if you want to be shot at or not.

  • No difference to riding in London then.
