He can still attach a boat anchor if he likes, but once you have the adapter in there you have a pretty wide set of options.

Diclaimer - not massive expert so check what I say...

First - I will say that 48 spline axles come in 19mm, 22mm and 19/20mm sizes. I think 19mm is more common so go with that. 19/20mm is a weird one where the ends of the axle are 19mm for 19mm cranks, but the middle of the axle is a mm bigger so it needs a different BB.

The Charge Mortar seems to have the old fashioned, nearly obsolete US BB Shell. So you need a US BB compatible BB like -

Note how despite being for a US BB shell it actually runs BMX Mid-sized bearing not US BB bearings!

If you buy anything second hand double check that you're not buying something 36-spline - they did that for a while too!

That euro one will be perfect, thank you!. I'm not a 48 spine fan tbh - far too much hammering involved! She can get some nice external bearing MTB cranks (or maybe some SRAM S300) with the Euro BB, assuming it wont throw the chainline off too much.

Chainline should be fine, the adapter just creates a set of 1.370"×24tpi×68mm threads inside the BMX shell. Some BMX shells are a bit narrower than 68mm, but you can fix that with a spacer under the threaded BB cup. Because the adapter extends beyond the normal width of a native BSC BB shell, it's just possible that you could get interference between the spider and the outer rim of the adapter.

If you were a proper tart, you could probably have shims made to fit a BB30 axle and bearings into a BMX shell

Ubuntu thinks last month is 1st December and I can't work out why other than it's last month function subtracting 30 days rather than subtracting the month value by one.

Will I have the same problem on the last day of every month where the preceding month has less number of days than the current?

I have another one, I watched a sort of horror/comedy film recently about a band that sacrifice a girl to the devil to gain success but she was meant to be a virgin and she wasn't so it doesn't go quite as planned. I think there's a fire in a bar that they run away from but somehow everyone thinks they saved people from. The band go from strength to strength maybe they become vampires or something? I think one member of the band isn't a vamp at the start but maybe becomes one along the way?
