"Do I have to print off my boarding pass for Ryanair or can I have it on my iPhone?"
All major airlines will happily accept smartphone/electronic boarding cards... except Ryanair that is. Should you need it however, they will print one for you at the airport for a £70 fee.

Bargain.

You can't complain about the service... there isn't any.

Flown with them twice this year, second flight was late- which was great, as they didn't play that stupid electronic bugle call.

Ryan Air? Doing it wrong.
-
• #51232
Only option sadly- the other carriers got in at stupid O'clock.
Quite gutted that BA has binned Malta as a destination to which they travel.

We have a client in Malta and my boss had to fly with RyanAir to go there for a meeting. He was late to the meeting by an hour and a half. I don't need to explain why he was late.

Any tips for de-stinkifying cycling shoes? I don't think my girlfriend would be pleased about hard plastic tumbling around her washing machine..... They're synthetic leather if that makes any difference?
-
• #51237
Is it the shoes or the insoles?
I washed my insoles and that was 1000% improvement....
-
• #51238
Could just be the insoles! Cheers. Not unbearable yet, maybe we'll see in a couple of hundred miles, ha ha. Did you just chuck them in the washing machine?
-
• #51239
I've done a couple of pairs, some went in wash, others didn't look like they would handle it so soaked them in some water + bio detergent for a bit, gave em a scrub an that.
The worst pair were some that I used for snowboarding, then used for cycle touring, and a wet weekend in the dales.
Literally smelt like death.

put them in a pillow case, put that in the washing machine.

If they have buckles, do them up, less chance of breaking.
-
• #51242
....or remove them.

if you want to be nice to them, soak them in a bowl/basin of a little luke-warm water and plenty of bicarbonate of soda. bicarb is great for smells. then if you can spare them, stick them in the freezer for a week.

what is correct way to loosen the lockring again? clockwise or counter?
-
• #51245
Found the right thread (pun intended). Clockwise it is
-
• #51246
The logic behind their threading is pretty easy to remember, cogs turn in the same direction as pedalling so when you pedal they tighten (that's clockwise to put a cog on), the threading on the lockring is the opposite so a cog coming off while back pedalling will only make the lockring tighter (so anticlockwise for putting a lockring on).

MTB 10 spd chains
What is the difference (apart from cost) between HG95 (RRP £30) and HG94 (RRP£35), which would last longer?
Is there another 10spd chain that will last as long or shift as well as the Shimano ones, as they claim these chains are directional, different plates for shifting up and down.

• #51248
I'm pretty sure any comment from me must be redundant by now.
-
• #51249
KMC 10 spd chain perchance?
