Need a sleeping bag that packs down very small, like tiny. As cheap and lightweight as possible!
Any suggestions? If you can keep it dry, down bags are great.

very small + light as possible = down
cheap <> down -

I'm 186CM long and have an inseam on my socks of 82.5CM. I used different calculators and some say I should buy frame size 54, some 57 of even 60. Will 54 be correct for a road bike for someone my size? (I can get 54, 57 or 60)

All of them may be correct, depends on the manufacturers method of measuring geometry.
Go sit on one.

That might help as well.

Get your other measurements, too, e.g. reach (arms and torso). You seem to have a relatively short inseam and long torso. You may need a non-square relatively low and long frame. Of course, you may have really short arms for all I know.

Buy a frame for the TT not the ST length

Many of them, like the Campagnolo one have one bolt and a slot so you can adjust the horizontal position of the guides.
I grabbed one from my favourite LBS. Thanks.

How do I tell if the accompanying shifter to a 9 speed Tiagra is a triple? This is before they had the little window to tell you what gear you're in. Were they all triple compatible then?

Is there a code on it anywhere?
-
• #48489
I dunno. The bike is actually not here now, so I can't check. Where would this code be?
-
• #48490
I think I've seen a pic where the code is printed on the plastic lever body, under the rubber hood.

Hmm. Another way of putting it - am I right to think that the 4501 was the first double specific? And that was also (4500 series) when they brought out the windowed gear indicator? And thus anything pre-4501 (pre-windowed indicator) would be double and triple compatible?
-
• #48492
My impression was that Shimano STIs have always been 2/3 ring specific.
-
• #48493
Is this just an impression or based on something? My "research" says this is not the case with Tiagras pre-4501. (The 4501 was released to be a double specific version of the 4500, which was not. The 4503 was a re-branded 4500 as far as I can tell that claimed to be triple, but could still be used with doubles by locking out the mech).

"The Dual Control Lever allows for shifting and braking from the same hand position on the bike. ST-4400 is compatible with both double and triple 9-speed systems"

Seems legit.

• #48496
I think 4400 were the first Tiagra as well, and not windowed, so they must be the ones on the bike.
Fuck you, AQA thread. I'll do my own research!

Should I read all that? Does it have relevant info that proves me wrong? I've done enough research.
-

It confirms my hypothesis. Fucker. Made me read that shit for no reason. I hate reading.

My replacement forks have arrived but the crown race slips right on.
There is still a lip for the race to fit to and my callipers are at home?
Do I coke can shim?
Ha! Thanks again. It's odd that there are no matches since the GN registration is Maidstone, which is spot on for the KFF (Kent frozen foods) livery as they're based just a few miles away.
