No, you bend back the tab on itself and it should click into place.

The plastic tab fits in to where the little arrows are pointing.Srsly?
This means having the plastic tab in my mouth hitting my teeth and worrying about it coming loose and swallowing it.
How hard is it to design a hole??

It's better than your attempt.

How the hell do they get warped?
I've had some crack around the holes before. Got new ones from here:

Electricity-assisted bikes. Are they just for pansies?
Someone I know bought a Giant Escape Hybrid when he gave up his driving licence (80 yr old + angina) and is currently doing around 100 miles per week on it. It seems fine - if expensive - for shopping and gentle touring (electric assist limited to 15mph ?) but a bit heavy to carry on the train so he's now restoring a Bickerton...

Why does the same ride show 800ft difference in elevation when recorded by my phone compared to when recorded by my Garmin? Which one is right?
-
• #45911
Garmin has a barometric pressure sensor so will be more accurate
-
• #45912
Your Garmin is purpose built, and it's GPS height measurement is probably more accurate. It likely has a barometric altimeter in any case, which would be more accurate still.
-
• #45914
Thanks for the info. So basically, the phone is just using map data whereas the Garmin is actually recording the real elevation using science and magnets?
-
• #45915
Your phone is probably using GPS (and whatever add-on software it comes with), Garmin uses purpose built GPS software, or preferentially a barometric altimeter.
-
• #45916
Right. Cheers. Funny that it's such a big difference - I always assumed my phone GPS was pretty much infallible as it doesn't make any mistakes N-S-E-W wise, so it's odd that it would be so wrong up-down wise..

Someone who works for Getty does.
You don't need it though.

GPS isn't very good at altitude, due to trigonometry (and magnets, obviously)
