Not sure, looked like a fatal accident on Kennington Road- blue geodesic tent thing, and a tanker/hose/chap in waders blasting the road surface with water just before the lights on the left side of the road heading South/toward Oval.

What's going on that's closed Kennington road and Camberwell road though Walworth?
That latter is that someone tried to rob a security van, apparently.

is there an online thing where I can collect a personal database of books? I tend to work on lots of different computers and I'm rubbish at remembering where references come from, or what that book I read last year is called, and something I could log-in to from anywhere and made it easy to search for books by keyword, title, author etc would be great. maybe it could even automatically order things alphabetically or something. does this thing exist?
Google docs spreadsheet?

By all accounts there was money everywhere. Someone tweeted from a bus at the scene and apparently everyone was running around grabbing 20's and 50's, including the bus driver and a woman who left her baby on the bus.

Got knocked a couple of weeks ago, and now I think my forks are slightly bent. Does anyone know any disc specific 700c forks with mudguard eyelets? Carbon would be nice but I don't want to spend a fortune, its just a commuter bike. Cheers

I just ordered Veloflex 25c tyres and I was wondering which inner tube to buy. Michelin specs its tubes 18-23c (too small?) or 25-32c (heavier?), whereas Continental (and others) have 18-25c. I also would like to try latex tubes, bit I can't seem to find ones for 25c (Michelin are 22-23c). Any advices?

Just use 23c Michelin latex tubes

Is it advisable (ok?) to do a ride using the axle provided for turbo trainer use? (50miles)
Misplaced the original one during moving and looking at the worst case scenario if I don't find it till tomorrow. Thanks -

Yeah I had a look, there were some 29er ones which looked alright, a bit more than I wanted to spend and they were out of stock anyway. There are some from China on eBay for about £100, tapered steerer though unfortunately

Misplaced the original one during moving and looking at the worst case scenario if I don't find it till tomorrow. ThanksDo you mean axle, or skewer? The special skewers supplied for turbo use are fine for road use, they are just heavier and bulkier than necessary in order to accept the clamps used to support the bike on the trainer.

Vittoria 111.2LT.F2.25.222BX is their 25-28 latex tube, not widely available but you should be able to find it*. Anecdote points to better results from using the larger tube (fewer pctrs, no penalty in rolling resistance) rather than stretching the small tube to the big tyre. This intuitively makes sense, since the tube is less stressed and therefore has more spare stretch available before rupture in the case of a penetration.
*http://www.wiggle.co.uk/vittoria-latex-inner-tube/ but they are saying May delivery for the 25/28

Totally random question this but does anyone know whats going on with the weird little bureau de change on new oxford street? I walk past it every day and up until about a week or two ago it appeared to be just a normal bureau de change but now theres definitely something weird going on. Theres loads of old tv monitors piled up all over the place, people in suits sitting at the desks and today there was a woman handing out weird flyers. Im guessing its either an art installation or something to do with a tv show but maybe someone one here can enlighten me.
