I wondered about that, but if we have a closed system, the earth can't radiate any heat.
Good point, no heat can escape a clothed system.
(sorry)

The AlexRims on my Tricross SS are 22mm external width. I'm planning to stick some 38mm tyres on there. Sheldon's little chart indicates I'm pushing m luck... Anyone offer any insight on this? Paging Tester....
Also posted in the 'Tyre Width and Feel' thread. Cheers all.

"Why do Specialized recommend to replace their carbon seatpost every 3 years?"
More importantly, how often do they recommend that you replace your frame? Back in the 80's and 90's many high end frames e.g. Colnago and Pinarello came with a lifetime one owner manufacturer's warranty. That is now typically two years, and only because EU legislation demands it.

Same reason most helmet manufacturers suggest binning helmets after a couple of years.
Where do they say that anyway? My S-Works would be well overdue..

They're supposed to weaken over time but I crashed mine about five times before actually binning it.

Only ran across it when looking for weight limit, which might concern you.
Personal feeling it's just bollocks, they're contradictive sometime in their manual, such as saying you should ride defensively, but at the same time they tell you to ride close to the kerbs as much as possible.
