Cleats are probably unsellable not in great condition.
Im going to see what the ebay seller says, itd be more worthwhile for him to just give me a refund for the item than ask for them back i reckon...
Suggest a partial refund.
£65 is what it cost you overall. You could probably buy used Dominators for £100. Ask for £35 back.

What's the main difference between V and Canti brakes? Can you use Canti's on V brake mounts?
-
• #39604
Rogan: a size 9 would be be my normal shoe size, so I could be tempted by those at £65.
Am I right in thinking that Sidi sizing is a little small normally though?

• #39605
The main difference between V-brakes and cantis is in the amount of cable pull required. V-brakes require more cable pull for a given amount of movement at the brake pad. This generally entails the use of a lever that pulls more cable for a given amount of movement at the brake lever.
Both cantis and V-brakes use the same frame bosses. -

I'm not going to say UTFS, but there is a thread which goes into some detail about that part of the canal.
What is the path along the river from Willesden to Warwick Avenue like for riding a 23c roadie?
I think it's called the Grand Union Canal

Found it: http://www.lfgss.com/thread12285.html#post3327224
Lots of detail. I think the basic message from the thread, and from my experience down that way a few weeks ago is "yes". I went down there on 23s, and had no problem, but there are bits where you cannot ride the canal as such, you have to use adjoining roads/paths/parks.

If your a size 9 they wont fit, these are 8.65 or something in UK sizes and im an 8. and these are a tiny bit long but quite tight width wise

• #39612
I've got some 43.5 Dominator 5's that I'm looking to get shot of, only worn them for a week.
I need 43 Mega's though. If anyone wants to buy these off me then please shoot me a PM
-
• #39613
How much were you thinking? Didnt know 43.5 existed!
-
• #39614
Yeah, they're the Lorica Dominator 5's with the fully replaceable sole.
This is what Sidicafe say, but their pictures are wrong. Instead of individually removable platforms, the whole sole is replacable with 4 bolts. http://www.sidicafe.co.uk/sidi-mtb-dominator-5-srs.html
They've got a slight scuff on the outer left hand shoe (got excited, fell over) but other than that they're basically perfect, a weeks use and still got the box, and an extra set of bolts ect ect.
£140? £130?

I assume I am owed my tax monies (I probably pulled in 6k this year. I'm fucking rich and shit). How do I get my tax money back from the "man"?
-
• #39620
Submit tax return*, get monies. Assuming you've actually paid some tax.
*Online only at this stage, by Jan 31 for the year to April 2012
-
• #39621
I've paid bare tax.
The year until April 2012? I've only worked the last three months of 2012. So do I wait until after April 2013? Or was that a typo?
Sorry. I'm Canadian and then one time I got tax monies back (about 6 years ago) I just called up someone, said I think I'm owed money, and they deposited it into my account (or sent me a cheque).

Your size is 43.5 and you're feeling flush this week.
Honestly, it's worth trying them on. This is my second pair and I'm buying a 3rd, very few places have mega sizes to try on, annoyingly. If these 43 megas don't fit I'm just going to jam some insoles in them and hope for the best.

Tax year runs from 6th April to 5th April, so your earnings for the last few months of 2012 fall in the 2012/13 tax year, for which you have to file a return by Oct 13 on paper or Jan 14 online. If you're self employed, register for self-assessment now, if you're employed then your PAYE code will get adjusted eventually and you don't have to claim a refund, it will happen automatically (in theory; it doesn't hurt to give them a kick up the arse by visiting your local tax office)

Oh, and there is a Tax Return thread, so you'll probably find more answers there

Cheers. I guess that's why I got the money back so easily last time. I'll call them in a few months.
