steroid injections are fantastic at breaking down scar tissue/making them look less pink then sheet then gel. let us know how the gel is as ive got a fresh 5 inch one running along my clavicle thats gonna need some tlc in a few months!
So far, it appears to be doing bugger all.
Any healing could be put down to natural healing since it's quite fresh anyway.I guess I could use it on different parts of the scar to see if there's any difference. #propahscience

Long-winded one for the techies.
Shockwave Flash is continually crashing using Google Chrome. This problem started only yesterday but has become so frequent that listening to music on soundcloud is impossible. Looking around there's a lot of literature over how to sort this widespread problem. However all of it assumes 2 installed versions of Flash are in conflict, so shutting one down will solve the problem.
I don't have 2 versions though - I'm no techie, but I'm not mistaken in following the online instructions (typing 'chrome:plugins' into my browser to view all available plugins). There's definitely only 1 version of Flash - again from looking around not every user prone to this crashing has the 2 suggested plugins. To remedy this I've started to use IE9. Problem with that is, unlike Chrome, I can't skip through a long mix on soundcloud to where I last left it. To catch up on a mix using IE9 there's no option other than to sit through all of what I've already listened to.
If this wasn't the case I'd happily use IE9 for music and Chrome for everything else, but it preventing me from picking up on music where I choose is no gain at all, despite Flash never crashing. So - how do I get Chrome to behave itself please?

Listen to some CDs?

No. Tomorrow I will take up golf.

Golf will make your discman skip.

Personally, I'd delete chrome and reinstall it, see if that sorts it. If it doesn't, at least by then Hippy or VB will have come along and actually solved it.

I used to own a belt that said 'help me understand' around it. Through overuse and excessive washing the text faded to nothing. Now I know how it felt.

How/where do you measure brake drop? Sheldon's pages say it is the distance from the centre of the brake mounting bolt to the centre of the braking surface on the rim, but he measures it diagonally. Some sites/pages/advice says to measure it sort of straight down - from the centre of the mounting bolt to a point in between the two braking surfaces.... Is there any definitive answer?
Basically, I have a Shimano 4500 caliper which is a few mills too short, and want to look for a replacement with a longer drop - but need to know how long exactly.
At the same time, does anyone have a spare long(er) drop 4500 rear caliper?

BR-4500 only comes in one length. If it's too short, you need a BR-R450 or one of these Tektros:

Which version of Chrome? Which version of Flash do you have installed?
23.0.1271.97 m is my Chrome version.
Adobe Flash Player (2 files) - Version: 11.5.31.5
Shockwave Flash 11.5 r31I had older versions falling over all the time but this latest combo seems pretty solid.

Do electric showers need servicing of any kind? Like descaling or anything?

Spray some water in the plug socket to clean it out.

Is there any definitive answer?
Yes. It is the length, between intersections, of a line segment which intersects both the centreline of the brake centre bolt and the centreline of the pad bolts orthogonally. As such, it is also the shortest possible line segment which is bounded by its intersections with these two reference lines.

Spray some water in the plug socket to clean it out.
They are usually hardwired, not plugged in. As such, you have to remove the terminal covers in order to hose down the connections.

Good point, do that instead.
This.
And maybe: Coffee Shop Cleat Covers?!
