3t polladio or thomson elite seatpost?
Seem to be similar weights and adjustment, so which do people think looks better

I have UTFS but to no avail.
basically I want to use one saddlebag on multiple bikes so am looking for the mount only that is compatible for this bag:

3t palladios are a real pain to set up.
And I have seen a broken one.
I have never seen a Thomson with any sort of problem, and they are a piece of piss to set, and infinitely adjustable. (the 3t has steps in the adjustment, they are small, but they are there) -

Thomson elite is easier to integrate into most builds and is less shouty than the 3T, would use the 3T with 3T stem and bars though.

Bin it?
The last one I saw (that was creaking, the reason why I was looking at it) was broken.
(one of the two clamp halves was cracked)
I think they are really poorly designed, over engineered, (they are trying too hard to be different, not better ) and not especially high quality.
Would not buy again -

The list of reasons to do so is endless...

Grease it. Thomsons hold their position by bolt tension, not friction, but everything moves a bit under load, and dry metal-on-metal movement will creak.

If it is creaking from the clamp a light lube like GT85 works pretty well. Make sure the bolts are properly tight afterwards.
If it is in the frame use some carbon seat post prep, fibre grip or similar -
• #38967
It's the clamp, I'll give it a lube.

I'm a skeksis I mean sceptic so tend to look for studies that prove/disprove claims before shelling out up to £30 for 15g of silicone sealant or snake oil. Dermatix has been studied whereas Bio oil hasn't (to my knowledge/googling).
Some bikie chatter here
