Can anyone help me unload a van in Forest Hill later today?
I need to get some plasterboard, which I can purchase and load into the van myself, but it'd be really helpful to have someone else to help with the unloading part of things.

Anybody know of any tyre deals going on?
Gators if possible.
-
• #37834
You think it was a botched tyre deal?
-
• #37835
That's exactly what I was thinking.

Where can I take an old frame for recycling? I never want to see the thing again (it's worthless and has homicidal tendencies) but I'd feel bad binning it.
-
• #37837
Force it into one of the recycling bins at your local supermarket.
Maybe take a hacksaw. Or a hammer.

Your local dump?
Lock it up with poundland shoelace lock and have it stolen.

Give it to a scrap metal person. They go around in lorries collecting stuff off the street. You can also find their bases, scrapyard type places with signs saying "cash 4 metal" etc...
-
• #37841
You may even get some cash for it, selling it as scrap. there was someone advertising on the lampposts* in Wandsworth for scrap bikes for a while.
*People who advertise on lampposts may not be the best people to sell things too.

Take them the lamppost, gotta be worth a few quid.

Something like £150/ tonne
or 15p/kilo (if it is steel)

What's a normal price for 6000 series aluminium? (stripped of parts but with paint)
-
• #37845
something like 65p/kilo
no one cares about the paint.
It is never worth scrapping something which you can sell for its intended purpose. -

Cheap alu jumpframe whose seat mast cracked because they were too cheap to heat treat the welds and I was running too much seatpost, layback and rearwards saddle position...
might be worth a detour one day.

If you don't want the £1.30 for yourself, your local authority recycling facility would be the best place.

Has anyone used/have any reccomendations for insoles for Sidis?
im a size 8 (42) but have 8.5 sidis cos the 8's squishes the widest part of my foot but theyre a tiny bit loose as in pulling out of clipless pedals is more effort than it should be due to slight movement inside
If i triple sock its fine but i was thinking a better more permanent solution would be some insoles as the sidis current dont really have one in just a solid bottom

expensive ;)
I highly doubt such batteries is rechargeable otherwise I'd be using rechargeable version for my hearing aids.
