Be sure to use a metric adjustable spanner when fitting said shim.

i fancy a trip to flanders to ride some of the classics routes. anyone got experiences of this in terms of logistics, general advice? i don't want to ride the official sportives when the races come around.

We did a forum ride there earlier this year. Here's the thread: https://www.lfgss.com/thread77935.html
Contains various maps and routes and advice. I, personally, recommend the beer. All the beer.

ok I am buying something retrobike forum from someone I don't personally know. It's a fair big amount of money. How do I make sure I am protected as buyer? I have already told the person that I will be paying using paypal goods or services. He has given me his workplace address etc. He is not a newbie on the forum but I am. IF what he is selling is faulty etc. or doesent arrive do I get refund from PayPal?

should be fine with paypal, especially via goods/service instead of the gifts option.

The gift option only allows you to avoid fees if you have that amount loaded up on your account.
Amey mentions it is a large sum, so I doubt gift would be an option anyway.

How do I get rid of shin splints? Today's going to be a long day if I can't stop hobbling.

I tumble-dried my lfgss cap by accident so the peak is warped. How do I get it back to flatness, tumble-dry and sandwich it?

Rest rest rest. Go to a decent running shop and ask them to help you figure out whether you need motion control shoes or what have you.

Im interested in the answer to this too, although I think the result will be nothing. I found when I wear the cap, it flips downwards no problem. But the warpedness does annoy me.

I don't think you'll find any 1" carbon forks with a carbon steerer. I've never seen any. If you want properly light you'll have to spend a lot more than £160.
mizuno fiandre full carbon fork in 1" have just finished in ebay for sub£50. Iirc they're one of the lightest 1" forks around.
Pretty sure I also saw a website selling them.

My friend just won those forks!
You rate them?

Thanks - I thought the answer might be to rest, which I can’t really do until tomorrow so I'll just have to annoy people with my shuffling cripple gait all day today. I do have motion control shoes for running but got shin splints walking yesterday (that’ll learn me).

For short term solution. I found keeping my shins warm helped. SO maybe wear some rugby socks or something like that. I would also consider wearing your motion control shoes for walking too if you are doing that much,
Hope you get on ok!

3 years ago I got a suit from ASUITTHATFITS, it was awful. They were just starting up though.
I highly recommend SuitSupply.
Anyone had experience with iTailor? Or Tailor&Store?

If the claimed 295g is accurate, that is very light.

I used http://www.dress2kill.com/ for my wedding suit. That was in 2004 though, so I don't know what they are like now, but they were fantastic then. I still get to wear the suit every now and then.

I've got super warm hiking socks on today and took the train to work instead of walking. If I walk again next week I'll wear my running shoes - either that or my hiking boots. It's amazing how sore it is, I didn't realise how little I walk normally!

How safe is it to lock up around Mare Street/Hackney Empire while I go see Squarepusher tomorrow? im guessing not very, but public transport is looking like an epic ballache...hmmm...(stupid east london)
Gotta be careful sending the intern out for sky hooks. could be costly.
