It's an extremely annoying pejorative term which a lot of people on this forum (and probably beyond) use to try to differentiate themselves from people whom they perceive to be (essentially) 'bad cyclists' in one way or another. The term is meant to deride the alleged riding style of some people claimed to be 'nodding' their head while riding, but the meaning extends beyond that to just about everything that people do wrong in traffic. It's ultimately quite empty and just says 'I'm not like you'.
^ Nodder

I'm pretty sure there are quite a few in the pro peletons that nod.

Why would you nod while riding?

^^ Would Chris Anker Sørensen qualify? Although that's maybe more like a David Grey/Stevie Wonder head swing than a nod...

Why would you nod while riding?
The question is: why wouldn't you?!

Why would you nod while riding?
If your core muscles are too weak to keep your body still when adding force to the pedals.
Even someone quite fit, it they are trying to ad power will probably move their upper body, for example riding fixed up a hill while seated.
But I think the term nodder is aimed at people who are moving their upper body whilst mashing on the flat.
Nodding is basically the opposite of suppless (sp?)
Oh and I'm a nodder, as was proven to me by a tfl video with me in the back ground!

Leaving to one side the playground level inclusion/exclusion aspects of the term nodder, sometimes it really does describe someone very aptly- I mentally applaud riders who have a powerful, commited nod.
It must take significant concentration to ride well whilst bringing your jaw down on every pedal rotation like a nuclear powered icebreaker making 20 knotts through an ice sheet.

Is it possible to replace the freehub on a Hope Pro 2 to a bmx-style driver? I highly doubt it but thought I would ask anyway!
Thanks

Anyone else had EVERYTHING on their Facebook Wall disappear? A few minutes ago it was only showing posts before the end of August, now it's blank.
Have tried various 'fixes' to no avail.
