  • Idle speculation on my part having spotted a cheap DA 7800 SRM on eBay.
The track ones almost never come up.

Not that one in the US that's now up to $1200?

  • Ok, I've got a few questions for you kind chaps.

Will cheap "keo style" cleats work with all keo type pedals? Because these say they are "Compatible with BBB CompDynamic and CompDynamic M pedals", surely keo cleats will be suitable for all keo pedals?

Can anyone suggest some good brake pads for a road bike? I've got SwissStop yellows on atm, but the rim is aluminium.

I read somewhere that NJS chains are noisy, is that true? Anyone ever used a DID Daido chain?
    Thanks

  • In what way?

  • What is meant by the term "nodder" ?

  • If you don't know you are one

  • I built up a bike for a mate and he wants me to write him a receipt for this - for tax reasons.
I bought parts and used stuff I had lying around - what is the general consensus for this?
And how much would a shop charge for labour of putting it all together?

    .

  • what else can i take to sort out my breathing now my asthma pump has run out? I am sounding like a cross between darth vader and a hyperventilating dog

  • What is meant by the term "nodder" ?

It's an extremely annoying pejorative term which a lot of people on this forum (and probably beyond) use to try to differentiate themselves from people whom they perceive to be (essentially) 'bad cyclists' in one way or another. The term is meant to deride the alleged riding style of some people claimed to be 'nodding' their head while riding, but the meaning extends beyond that to just about everything that people do wrong in traffic. It's ultimately quite empty and just says 'I'm not like you'.

  • Use the new one you were supposed to buy on Monday following this post:

i tried, but they wouldn't allow me to in the three pharmacies i tried. waaah.

  • How much of the earth's water, at any one time, is suspended in the air as vapour? On average... Percentage is fine...

  • shit, if you're talking about going to a&e then go now! It's not an emergency if it can wait til tomorrow! Apologies if I'm missing something obvious here.

  • Google says 0.001%... OK... Disappointing result...

    What happened to this one:

Visited the Doc who announced i have a chest infection and gave me a new asthma pump

    Still a lot of water:

click for explanation of what happens if it all falls out at once

  • waiting for collection. I don't actually have it just yet.

  • In which thread should I put this marvelous animation from the London public bike system data? Is there a "data mining porn" thread?

I have actually seen someone nodding as they went along on a (rather nice) road bike, though. It does happen!

  • it makes me smile when i actually see someone nodding. Even if Schick doesnt like the term, its still funny.

  • The bloke in England that sells second hard parts including loads of Campag parts - bought stuff off him in the past - but that was ages ago and can't remember his name (not Hilary Stone)
