I posted this here, but it's drifted down a couple of pages with no suggestions, so I thought I'd repost my question here for a wider audience:
In a couple of months I will be travelling to Cambodia with work, but I have little more than a passing insight into the recent, tortured, history of the country. Can anyone recommend any interesting, accessible books that might give me some more insight into the history of the KR, how it came about, it's legacy and how Cambodia has transitioned towards it's current government?
If the book happened to give some insights into the current social and political institutions and how they function, and the issue of land rights and tenure then that would be a plus but I'd put my emphasis on an interesting and accessible modern history of Cambodia and the KR.

Well it's not really a history, it's a personal account, but I thought First They Killed My Father was a really powerful read, I'd really recommend it.

^^^ Makes sense, thanks. Probably need to do it when I'm less tired/it's less late!

yes, a job to do when in full command of one's faculties!
if you're ever passing by greatworth, pop in for a cuppa

I've taken them out before by using a large allen key pocking into the head tube and hammering on the cup down.

are expired ventolin asthma pumps still ok to use? Im not feeling all too good and its the only one i have.
-
• #35260
Probably, might be have reduced effectiveness due to drug breakdown and maybe lower dose due to pressure drop, but it has to be better than nothing.
You can purchase ventolin over the counter from some pharmacies now, so you should be able to get a fresh one in the morning if one of your local pharmacists is participating in the trial.

Got an old P3/256MB laptop that I want to run Linux on (puppy or DSL). What's the best supported and cheapest PCMCIA wireless adapter (no ethernet connection)?

Also, don't be afraid to go to A&E if you're having an abnormal asthma exacerbation, it might save your life.

It was only just over 20 years ago that father first got under the hour for 25 miles, this year he couldn't even manage 20mph over the distance. Good news though, one of his local octogenarian rivals has hung up his wheels, so he's one place closer to the prizes :-)
mdcctester.. wanna help build my bikes.. ?

The adapters have pontoons for walking on. Proper road SPD cleats (SH70/71) also have pontoons
As a result, they are just as walkable as Keos (i.e. terrible), but at least walking on them doesn't wreck your cleats.I can't actually readr right now..
But fixed tt? Sounds like a plan?

I've got a cateye, strada double wireless.
The display part is on and displaying. At the begining of a ride last week, it stoppped actually showing/transmitting the information.
I wanted to get it sorted this am.
It looks like it's all set up correctly - everything going past what it's meant to.
i wondered if the battery in the meter section had gone. Is there any way to tell? I have put the battery on my tong and it tingles fairly strongly. So I take that to mean there is a charge - is it possible that there's just not enough charge to power it.
Cheers.

Aren't tmobile/orange on a different frequency to voda/o2? I know they were a while back is that still so?
the bearings were pressed in from the exterior, so they will come out, just make sure the head tube is braced onto softwood if you opt for the impact approach
