Spray lacquer is available from any good auto store and can add even more shine to your part or seal it if there are any areas where the resin has been rubbed through all the way to the carbon fibre.
If you choose to spray lacquer your part follow the instructions on the can (including the safety advice) and give your part a number of coats, making each one as light as you can.

It says multiple light coats. Unless his post is already a tight fit, an extra 25μm isn't going to make it not fit.

More likely, the sizing in the material would likely impede the claimed performance aspects of the given technology; better to wash them out, also makes it less likely that your skin will react to whatever chemicals are in the sizing.

I bought white specifically today, when I bought the white bar tape, cos I thought yeah white on white will look proper.

Happy with the finished product but I'm umm'ing and aaar'ing now wondering if I should just whack some black over the top of it.
