Need to remove a rear cassette, is it rude to go into a bike shop and ask to borrow tools and do on the spot?
buy the tool from them

^This
Get the tools for yourself. Saves you money in the long run.

Longer response.
It is rude to ask them to borrow tools unless you are a regular paying customer. They are not a charity.
This is entirely different from needing to borrow allen keys/tyre levers/spanners/pumps in an emergency or just when you are passing and remember you needed to tweak something. Most LBS's will have a stock of these set aside for just this purpose.
But going there for the sole intention of getting something for free that they could easily and justifiably charge for is a bit cheeky.
Of course, I don't know the whole story, you may spend mega bucks there at other times for all I know.
If not, either buy the tool from them or ask them to do it. They might not even charge for it out of the goodness of their hearts but be prepared to pay them a fiver or something for it, have the note ready in your hand, don't expect it to be free.
My 2 pence

Are you asking whether 'we' think it's rude or if the employee/owner of the bike shop will?
The latter depends on how affluent you appear, the bike shop peeps' humour and how nicely you ask.
I don't think its rude but I'm an ex-squatting chancer.
Back when Brixton Cycles were on Coldharbour lane, they would always lend tools and being penniless this was a major plus for me. They also gave good advice and had a free parts bin they'd let you root through.Fucking hippies!
Even Brixton Cycles aren't like that anymore.
Can you still get 'Cassette Crackers TM'? This would be the cheapest way as you don't need a chain-whip and a adj spanner.

Did a search.
Out of production- that's fucking daft. -

If you're polite about it, and says you'd pay to borrow it, then chance are they'll let you borrow it, even do it for free for you.
All about attitude* really, don't need to be a regular customers IMHO.
*and how busy the shop is of course.

Pedagogy has been described as the holistic science of education, learning and skill development,3 and as such is open to influence from all angles, whether that be advances in psychology and neurology; or a change in funding from local or general government. This .......... means that the spaces designed around education must be able to aptly and quickly evolve to fit the current methodology of teaching.
I need to replace the dots with a suitable word. Like fragility, but not.
Basically, is there a word for 'necessity to be changeable'? -

Does anyone know what permissions/rights apply to photos uploaded by users to Google Maps? I'd like to re-use one for non-commercial use but don't know the rules and am failing to google the answer.

There's a number of references in the fixed freestyle section to neg BB frames. What does that mean?
Funny you guys mention lead crystal. Is there any easy way of telling if something is made from it? I recently received a decanter as a gift that was bought from an auction. Am concerned about leaving my booze in it in case its made of lead crystal
