After hurling brown oozing abuse at each other we seem to come to an agreement,
no we shouldn't meet as the urge to punch the other in the face would be as irresistible as refusing a bowl of nutella while blazed outta my mind.Infuriating

Can you just run brake cable internally through non-aero brake levers as you do with aero levers?
Basically, what's the difference between aero and non-aero levers, is it just a better hood design for internal cabling + no hole on top?
I tried the forum search to no avail, but please enlighten me if I missed a relevant thread.

Flirting?

No, the cable pull is in the wrong direction. Aero levers have the pivot/cable end holder arranged differently so that the cable is pulled fore/aft rather than up/down.

this is one for the website designers among us:
I'm currently constructing portfolio site and had a question.
Is it possible to put an invisible line on a website so that the mouse can't go past a certain point?
A little like those old adverts where you physically couldn't click cancel. -

You can't restrict the movement of the mouse, but you can hide the cursor using javascript, if you want to annoy everybody who visits your site. It will only work if people have javascript turned on, and it will annoy people. Don't do it.

you are right, anything that takes control away from the user is very annoying, much like pop-ups. The reason i ask is that it's to showcase art, and i want the site to replicate a gallery. So the concept was to respect the images shown by having nothing near the images to give them a certain respect, i thought the mouse thing could be an idea of doing that.

You could do something funky like explode the cursor when it touches the image. :)

If I want to respect an image
a: I wouldn't be looking at it via a screen and
b: I'm perfectly capable of moving my own mouse cursor away from the image area. -

If I want to respect an image
a: I would let it stay as long as it wanted
b: I would probably even call it back next day -

Woah ! What was the instrumental the 1pm bbc1 F1 qualifying programme started with today ? I recognised it and had one of those moments when you hear a song you've totally blanked out and forgotten. Sounded mid 90's, bouncy techno/pop, about 90 bpm, a bit like The Grid or Jean Michelle Jarre with Oriental instrumentation. Quite lush and organic and choral..........
It's doin' me head in ! -
• #3345
not the fleetwood mac theme tune for F1 ?
-
• #3347
That'll be The Chain then.
Not sure where the Oriental bit came into it though.

What aspect of a bike's geometry makes some bikes harder to ride with no hands?
My surly front wheel wobbles significantly riding no hands -
• #3350
Are you sure everything is mechanically sound?
I imagine a steeper headtube makes for a less stable front wheel.
is that an existential question?
