No, that will arouse suspicion when you kill it.

So I had an accident 10 days ago, and it has become clear that my front wheel is slightly out of round. It spins true, but seems to have developed a bulge that rubs the underside of the front brake in at least one spot (very small clearance since it's a short drop DA 7400 caliper on a track fork). I think I know the answer but does this mean I need my front hub to be rebuilt on a new rim? Or is there another fix? (the wheel is 32h HF Phil Wood hub laced 3x to Velocity Deep V rim). I tried to UTFS but didn't see an obvious answer. Thanks
Tyre or rim?
-
• #32104
I had been assuming the rim is screwed but will put another tyre of same size on and see what happens. I really don't want to spend to have a new wheel built just because some stupid ped can't be bothered to look before stepping into the road.

No, hayfaver is kicking my arse right now, it's not his plant, it's general plant sex balls in the air. Take drugs and it'll be better, as ever
A workmate has just moved desk near to me.
He has brought his pot plant with him, not sure what it is.
Could it be making my hay fever worse? -

Any good to you?
Yours for free if you can make it up the hill I live on without putting your foot down.
Ah, sorted now, thanks very much though.
cake is such a hipster he probably has a bmx with silly spinny gear, or will borrow a polo bike
Negged for bullying. How dare you associate me with bike hockey.
FYI, would have attempted it on the road bike. Or the SS mountain bike with about 40GI.

Double yellow lines:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Highwaycode/DG_069860 says "Double yellow lines indicate a prohibition of waiting at any time even if there are no upright signs."Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double-yellow_line#Loading_restrictions says
"Loading is allowed on double-yellow lines unless there are also yellow marks on the kerb or at the edge of the carriageway"If there's no waiting at any time on double yellows, how can you load/unload as per wikipedia?
Liars!

what about my rusty sheriff's badge?

You should be able to show them your silver medal & they'll let you off the ticket.
No ticket, just annoying neighbour.

“In line with the national curriculum, our resources teach children how to do XYZ...”
Does this mean that XYZ is part of the national curriculum? Or that XYZ is taught within the framework of the national curriculum?

Building up an eighties track frame with some nice contemporary bits.
Using Record Pista cranks with the matching BB and the crank spider fouls the chainstays. Using a 2.5mm BB spacer it seems OK but obviously plays games with the chainline.
So was wondering what type of crank and hub combo these types of frames would have used to get a straight chainline? Guessing the chainline would be about 50mm.

Park, then hoot at the top of your lungs, beat your chest, fling faeces at your neighbour and then retreat to your nest.
If the neighbour persists in leaving signs under a windscreen wiper try rushing at him, bellowing and flinging more poo.

Usually there is a time, when there is no loading.

There are no signs, just double yellows. I take that to mean 'no stopping at any time, ever'.
But all the Tesco vans, etc stop there to unload.
-
• #32117
Aren't double red lines no stopping ever, and double yellow just no parking?

Aren't double red lines no stopping ever, and double yellow just no parking?
yes, although this was somewhat spoiled by the introduction of parking bays on double-red routes because shops were going out of business.

No parking and loading and unloading are different.

Ta but I still don't get it.
"Double yellow lines indicate a prohibition of waiting at any time even if there are no upright signs."
Does waiting include loading/unloading? Can I unload my car on double yellows or not?

Southwark Council, FWIW, sez, "it depends"
http://www.southwark.gov.uk/info/473/guide_to_parking/499/loading_and_unloading/1
You can stop to load or unload on both single and double yellow lines if
. your vehicle doesn't cause an obstruction
. there is no loading ban in placeIf a loading ban is in place, it will be shown on the parking signs on lamp posts and by yellow stripes, also known as blips, on the kerb.
One stripe means that you can only load at certain times, check the sign for times. Two stripes mean no loading at any time.

What width is the BB ? Should be 111mm, Campag chainline would be 42mm.

Before I run my mouth off at this friendly neighbour I want to know if I'm right or wrong about loading. If the law doesn't know... I'm a bit fucked, no?
-
• #32124
Is this outside your place?
Yeah, public road, private parking contractor, double yellows, no markings on kerb, no signs about loading/unloading.

Report him to the police for flashing your girlfriend.
Insightful answers from the pair of you.
Should I just ask him to move it?
