are there any reasons not to use a 29er rim for a disc brake equipped cx bike?

Soya farming is the single biggest cause of deforestation in the world, much of it in the Amazon Basin.
Not sure I believe that. I've read elsewhere that cattle pasture is the main cause of deforestation in the Amazon rainforest.

Yep
are there any reasons not to use a 29er rim for a disc brake equipped cx bike?
Bought a wheelset from Henry, 317 disc to Deore hubs.
I think I'm going to replace the dead rim with a TN 719 as they are welded, and this seems (with no real evidence) to be stronger.

have you considered the stans rims? the mechanic at my lbs is a downhill MTB racer, he was saying he is not aware of any other rims with such a high strength to weight ratio. he and a some of his friends are doing fine on the Arch and Crest rims which are only suggested for x country. I have a feeling he is a good rider so is probably not as hard on components as an idiot like me.

Tubeless appeals to me, mainly because I got two pinch flats on the Pave recently.
Do they do 28c tubeless road tyres?

in which case you would probably need a stans rim designed for road/cx use.
the mtb ones are designed for large tyres to be run tubeless, so lower pressures
as i understand it though, people find tubeless cx has been problematic
my experience with mtb tubeless, has been great, I have not used tubeless specific tyres, and the sealant has worked brilliantly
on one ride in almost 2 years I had a tyre that kept losing pressure, but it turned out the sealant had all dried up, it was fine to limp home but did bottom out on a few roots
my intention is to use my 29er rims on the cx bike but to have tubes in and use 32c tyres - various others are doing this but stans have suggested to me that this is not what they would advise

Soya farming is the single biggest cause of deforestation in the world, much of it in the Amazon Basin.
Wiki:
Ninety-eight percent of the U.S. soybean crop is used for livestock feed.[35] Soybean meal is also used in lower-end dog foods.
Are you prepared to argue that the rest of the world's Soya usage is for human consumption only?
If not then you're assertion that vegetarians and vegans are responsible for the destruction of the Amazon Basin is ill founded as it's the meat industry which propagate the problem.

Before you get offended, I couldn't give a fuck what you eat.
That's your choice but the mis-representation of the facts is annoying. -

Tippex is made by the indigenous tribes of the Tipa Islands. The ex pertains to the export status. Tipppin is the name given to the green substance used on the islands themselves.

Anyone care to recommend a helmet before I default to one of these via the crash replacement program?

but if the above one works for you in terms of fit, and you get a replacement at a reduced rate (is it 50%?) i'd just get the same again

You should know by now that suggestions for things like shoes and helmets are pointless unless you've tried them on for size.
Since you asked..

how many sprockets does a sprocket have?
I wouldn't have described it as "putting", that implies a degree of volition
