in addition the weather can effect insect behaviour and the hatching times and survival rates of insects important for pollination.
Rain and other weather conditions are very important factors for fruit growers at this time of year.
Sorry Hippy, but this is a much better answer and just what I was after.
I love Honey !(hence bees and pollination etc)

Planning a big ride tomorrow - is there anywhere on line you can view a weather map, much like google maps whereby you can scroll and view the weather?
Since I'm going to be riding through a few places that would be much more handy than typing in each individual place.
metoffice.co.uk have pretty large coverage. They've got new ones that are slightly more accurate. Maybe not scrolling though.

You can do exactly that on the Met Office site. Just click on the 'Map' tab and it lets you scroll about and zoom in and out. Useful if you are doing a longer ride and want to see what the weather will be like in more than one place.

£37.92 for the pair of hubs, including postage with tracking number from Taiwan, paid using Paypal.
These will go onto my 88/60mm pair of rims, just need spokes.

The 2.2mm wide ones are aces. Might need to file your hub drillings though.

I haven't used a hub with holes smaller than 2.3mm yet. Check your specs.

Not really cheaper than CX-Rays, are they? $2.00 + VAT vs. €2.00 incl. VAT

Planet-X Novatec 24h actually come with slotted spoke holes, so even Sapim CX will fit, but as you say standard is 2.3 to 2.5 round holes, which is why CX-Rays and those Pillars are only flattened to 2.2-2.3 major axis.

Does shot-blasting spell the end for chrome on a frame?
-
• #28692
Depends on the blasting medium.
And the quality and depth of the chrome. -

Mask it off and it'll be fine.

You go to the page and find the 'unlike' button. If it has the new style of page it'll be in the drop menu that appears from the cog button on the far right.

Is there a plant hire company called Options? I've tried Googling but it's too common a word. One of their lorries nearly squashed me this morning and I'd like to send them a friendly email.

What size bearings for flip flop wheel?
Which flip-flop wheel? The flip-flopness of it is easily the least important factor in finding the answer to your question.

How do i find out what terminal I'm flying into at heathrow? can't seem to find it anywhere on my tickets etc.... or online for that matter
http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/?tab=fiveDay&dayIdx=0&locId=352409 is what I use. Probably not what you're after.
