Can't speak for Specialized, but I was looking at a Prologo Nago Nack with carbon rails, but have a 3T Doirico Team post which has the most savage, sheer force inducing clamp design I think there is and was worried about this so e-mailed them. They came back and told me that they were happy for their saddles to be used with the 3T posts.
I do actually have a Romin Pro sitting here waiting to be put on another 3T post this weekend. I think it'll be okay but I confess I'm a little nervous about it, but I think that's just the general fear that comes from not trusting the strength of carbon (every now and again, when properly out of the saddle, leaning right forward on the hoods I think about how much weight is on the bars and the magnitude of the forces on my carbon steerer and it freaks me out).

Always avoid ampersands except when they're clearly part of a proper name, i.e. B&Q.

That's what I've always been told and have always done but an SEO expert has just told me otherwise. Is it good for SEO (in terms of more space for useful keywords), poor for accessibility?

SEO expert
There's your problem.
-
• #25561
I don't even know what an SEO expert is.

'Search engine optimisation'?

• #25564
Ignore them, then. We don't want any search engines optimised.

• #25565
Don't we?

SEO experts - the modern day equivalent of a snake oil salesman.

• #25567
oh god. I hate websites. and experts. and punctuation.

After a quick Google it seems that the rationale is:
Instead of using the word “and” use an ampersand (&). It takes up two less characters and gives you more room to sell.
Just think how much selling you can do with those two extra characters!!

Any recommendations? My bank is HSBC if it makes a difference.

Why is it, when people sell bikes, the bike is always:
belovedand the sale is always full of regret and tearwanks?
-
• #25572
To show that they gave a shit about the bike and didn't batter it around everywhere possibly?
-
• #25573
Not so for kingcutter. Most people only have one bike, they ride it everyday and procrastinate over parts and upgrades for it. They tweak it and spend illogical hours maintaining it or hunting down the right bits for it.
People get that way about cars too, but the feeling is a little more indirect as it is motorised.
