There are different kinds of deficits. That list is GDP - everything produced in a year. The US will not be obliged to - and obviously could not - pay off that deficit in one year.
China has the largest foreign currency reserves but its GDP is lower and its per capita income much, much lower. -
• #21378
Yes, it's like for example Poland being spared by the recession and experiencing an actual growth, but its GDP per capita is still very low when compared to the UK, Germany, Spain or even Greece.

Where you can see them

It's on a little stalk thing that sticks inwards from the right hand aerobar. Slightly interferes with right hand position but it works (unlike the glowstick lighting).

Anyone else get midget porn from www.cycleops.com ?
No, but I would at least have expected a cyclops.
-
• #21382
Can the little stalk thing be shop bought?
I imagine that you just took the glowstick from your RaveBox™Yes. Profile do 'em

Anyone know if Evans at London Bridge sells Brompton tubes? I've just exploded one in quite a spectacular fashion.
-
• #21389
We exploded the tyre on the company hack Dahon the other day in the yard; everybody came running out of their offices wondering what happened. I walked to my LBS and got a new tyre. Since when have you had a Brompton?
-
• #21390
They make a lot of noise for small wheels. I've had it a couple of years, it used to be my great uncle's.
I've given up anyway, I can't do anything except feel sorry for myself today. The brompton will have to wait.

can anyone recommend a rack?
I know it's any questions, but the best option is to utfs. "Rack" only brings up 1 page of hits.
This one looked ok: http://www.lfgss.com/thread31296.html
As for cheap, I guess that depends on your definition. If you think that tubus racks are good quality and average around £60. Then less popular front racks are going to be at least that.
What are you planning on using it for? You see plenty of girls that manage with a wicker basket with just a headset mount and strapped to the handle bars (sometimes less), filled with uni books and a massive handbag.
If it's just for a beater I'd suggest something like this:

Maybe with a suporting rack underneath
Or this looks like quite a good deal:

Overall, I think for a proper front rack you just have to pay through the nose for something that looks good. IMO if you're carrying enough weight regularly to need anything more than a supported basket then you should probably use a rear rack and panniers... or buy a car.

Right, so a mate a work is asking whether this Oyama crosstown bike is worth a punt:

Honest/harsh/serious opinions please!

No idea.
But for that price you can get a second hand Brompton that is an amazing bike and will hold it's resale value.
My 2p.
I'd also add that 18-Speed on a flat handlebar folding bike sounds a bit excessive.

See, I am trying to sell him the idea of a Brompton, but he says it doesn't look "sporty" enough, I think he wants MOAR GEARZZ... sigh.
-
• #21396
Get him on the a to b folding bike guide. (Sorry, would link but am on phone and being lazy)
-
• #21398
Yes. Thanks.

• #21399
Oh, cool! Cheers guys!

show him footage of the folding bike races, bromptons tend to do quite well in them
How can the USA be on top if it has a deficit? Information I can find (CNBC sep 2011) says that the USA has 'external debt' of 101.1% of GDP, which is roughly; $14.825 trillion !!
How can that still put them at number one? (Remember forget assets, 'value or reputation' etc - just money !)
