What about induction, aren't they the most energy efficient?
Induction is the shizzle.
Unless you have to buy new pans to work on it, which makes it v expensive.

I've had induction before. Yes it is great to cook on but I still much prefer gas for ease of control and also the high temps that are achievable for searing things etc.
villa-ru is correct....you can't use any old pan on an induction hob.

Does anyone know of a secure locking spot in Brixton? I am going to a gig at the academy but I don't know the area at all. Any advice gratefully received.

Headset spacers.
I've just bought some 1" ones for 1" forks. However, they're a bit loose. I'm sure all my 1 1/8" ones have always been snug.
Any risks? Also the bottom of the headtube where the bottom headset cup sits seems to be a bit big, so the bottom cup moves around a bit. Is there anything I can do about this?

Having ridden toeclips for the last 10 years or so, if I make the move to SPDs am I still going to 'forget to unclip' and stack it at the lights?
-
• #19892
No, that never ever happens.

No

Not really, without a lot of expense. Chris King do oversized cups for head tubes which are worn or over-reamed, but I've not seen any from any other maker.

So now not only does my beater have carbon forks, it might end up with a CK headset.
Beater fail.

There's no answer to that.

Reamed and shimmed back to correct size?

Reamed and shimmed back to correct size?
Not enough material; if you take enough off the head tube to fit a shim thick enough to withstand the press fit, the tube is then too thin-walled to be safe.

Thanks, but after half an hour reading that I'm more confused, seems a regular saver is what I want, but most seem capped at £250 max deposit a month, whereas I need the flexibility to deposit much more than that on months when I do well out of work...
