Dunwich Dynamo roads are shitloads better than the roads I train on out west. Damn easties!
Tyres pinched. 100%

I remember reading on here somewhere about the dangers of swapping your rear tyre for your front tyre if the rear is a little worn. Can someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction or just tell me why it's not a good idea please? Money's tight and I don't fancy shelling out for some new tyres *just * yet.

think about it, do you want grip from your front tire?

it's one of Sheldon's pieces of advice. Basically, rear tyres wear faster but front tyres are much more safety critical so intentionally putting nearly-knackered tyres on the front is tempting but a bit daft. Also, front and rear do different jobs, so it makes sense to pick different tyres for each, but if you do run the same front and rear the right way to rotate them is: discard old rear tyre, move front tyre to rear, buy new front tyre.
But i can't say i haven't ever swapped front and rear to get the last bit of life out.

I've only ever moved rear to bin and front to rear, then replaced front.
What Moth said, basically.
Trying to do the right thing I've just ripped loads of carbide studs out of my front tyre, whilst the rear looks fine, so maybe don't listen to me however.

Cheers guys! I'll leave the front tyre where it is and just buy a replacement rear for now, as I'm going to change tyre brand.

Espresso Martini... what options do I have if I have no vermouth and no um.. everything else.
Have espresso.. what else can I use?
-
• #18888
what spirits/liqeurs do you have?
1vodka / 1/2 kahlua / 1/2 baileys / 2 espresso is good
-
• #18889
Kahlua went ages ago, loads of vodka, baileys only in hazlenut form, coffee machine and fresh beans galore...
-
• #18890
Every liquor cabinet has Tia Maria lurking at the back... and hazelnut Baileys could be... interesting?
-
• #18891
Ha! You're almost right but I've caned the Tia Maria too. Thanks for your help but.. err.. next suggestion?
-
• #18892
Cointreau?
Or just moar vodka, dash of sweets, and a dash of that Baileys
-
• #18893
dark rum is also good, but moving away from the "Martini" and more towards the "getting sloshed"
Iced Irish anyone?
-
• #18894
The shop. Go to it.
-
• #18895
Wait, there's a rule about buying alcohol after eleven something right? The 24hr costcutter around the corner from me never says no to me.
-
• #18896
Do you think dogs get freaked out by people picking up their shit?
-
• #18897
No shops. I'm in my undies..
-
• #18898
Well, actually that never stopped my in Oz.
-
• #18899
Cointreau sure but I don't want an orange espresso.
-
• #18900
I haz rum but again, less of a espresso martini and more of a 'drink anything left'
user error, mine are fine too...
