Question:
Profile airwing bar, undid the screw to get the condor tt lever out. There's still a "bit" (i.e. the bit the screw screws into and expands against the bar etc) in there. How to get out? Alternatively, who wants a pair of airwings with a right hand lever? -

John Herety .
Nothing to do with the question but I saw him at the ToB the Sunday before last and although I've seen him on many ocassions I thought he was Greg Wallace off Masterchef. Has he lost/put on weight of late?

you got any locking grips?
I used them, with an allen key in their grip.

Think I tried with a skinny screwdriver as well, not sure now which method I achieved success with.
Bolt + grips maybe best?

can't you just screw a longer screw in there, then yankthefuckerout?

The expanding bolt appears to be "banging" against the lip of the hole.
-
• #18317
push it out the other end then :)

• #18318
Saw a hole in the middle of the bar!
That'll solve it. -

How come a lot of road brake blocks have a little flicky-outy bit underneath?
-
• #18320
Magnets. They're magnets.
-
• #18321
But how do they work?
-
• #18322
You mean those little black rubber things? Ive always wonder what they are too

I have a fixed/free hub. I never use a freewheel and have just threaded the fixed side (twat). Can it be rescued or do I have to buy a new hub/wheel?

Those ones look weird owing to lack of rubber knob.
All mine have a little rubber knob on (steady...) which I thought was the "wear indicator" and makes a horrendous noise if it hits the rim.
Although I admit I haven't actually ever worn my brakes far enough to test this theory.----------> magnets it is then...

where's mdcc when you need him!
It was Charly Wegelius and Tom Southam at the 2005 Worlds in Madrid. They rode for the Italians, who allegedly paid them rather well for their services.
There was no penalty imposed during the race, but afterwards there were repercussions within British Cycling which saw them banned from riding for their country again and then team manager John Herety lost his job.
