  • Just like beer. Anything colder than room temp never tastes nice imo. And if it can't taste nice at room temp then it's just shite.

White wine does. But not really fridge temp granted.

Our local lager is tastless anyway. Might as well be wet and cold. Tastes rank when its luke warm.

  • My seatpost is getting stuck after I've inserted about half of it, the first half goes in without any trouble at all. What's up?

Seat tube is clear, nothing else in there and it isn't dented.

  • are the stickers on the navigator pistas removeable?

    Yes.

  • Probably just because that gives it a chance to warm up to room temperature. Cheese straight from the fridge just tastes of cold.

More surface area in total, makes it more flavoursome.

  • Does anyone know where I can get some downtube cable stops that take the bosses with a circular base? Most of them seem to be the square ones like this

Is is an used post? Could be bent slightly. My mtb one did this. After 2yrs it was out by 5mm. Or it could be your seat tube, if someone's put a post in there with little inside the frame it may have put it out a bit.

    Or it could be tapered.

  • It was new, 400mm though so it was only getting stuck toward the bottom. Chopped it down and all is well

  • aside from ebay/amazon, are there any good sites for cheap (used) records/cds?

I am selling some items via SoundonSound website. Home studio equipment. I have no previous dealings with taking payment. One chap has offered to pay by either bank transfer, cheque or paypal. I am not sure if I am comfortable with cheque. What would you guys suggest?

i'd go with paypal personally, definitely not cheque...
what exactly are you selling by the way?

  • Ok, this is totally my field!

also why does cheese taste better when you grate it and mush it back together in little blobs?

I hope you're doing that with some rubbish cheese and not some of the world's finer offerings!

Probably just because that gives it a chance to warm up to room temperature. Cheese straight from the fridge just tastes of cold.

Boom! Ten out of ten! A good piece of cheese needs about 2 hours to warm up properly before you scoff it. In fact, this is true with most ingredients in your fridge. Ideally, keep cheese wrapped in waxed paper in a cool cupboard, cellar or larder instead of your fridge.

More surface area in total, makes it more flavoursome.

Not a bad guess. This may have some truth in it, but I think mdcc's guess would be more accurate.

  • Ahem... a load of bollocks. Grated Parmesan doesn't smell of feet/sick either. That grated stuff that does smell of sick/feet can't be legally called parmesan, but 'Italian Hard Cheese'. It's basically ground up Parmesan rinds, that's why it never melts.

  • No one really cares. It's just cheese.

  • Woah! Ok, someone ask a bike question, quick!

  • No one cares about them either.

  • D.I.Y then?

  • That's a very personal question.

  • Should I re-enamel the bath?

  • I think I have just answered that.

  • why is front hub grindy? it has been cleaned, new bearings, cups+cones are tarnished but no pitting, loads of grease, axle has some 'play'.

  • (genuine question not just to distract fixedcheese)

  • Oh, ok.

Why does Polski lager taste better than Danish or Canadian lager?
