Have a frame with a little ding on the TT. Want to have it powder coated, what can I use to fill the ding precoat that will withstand the heat of the process?
-

Brass. Dammit has some spare.
-
• #18036
Just over £2
Well, at least I am ahead on the deal in that case
-

Don't forget about that expensive £49.99 dent filler which withstands powdercoating you own.

I want to know why their aren't more discussions on this forum about politics, council policies, planning applications, TfL, the GLA etc. which affect all of us cyclists?
It seems a few campaign threads have started over the years but not really taken off. As DJ pointed out to me, even the rider down threads are far less prolifically posted on than they used to be.
Is this apathy? The belief that this isn't the place for it? Or something else?
As the coordinator of an extremely lively and opinionated campaign group as well as a fairly active (OK, addicted) member of this forum, I find myself perplexed by how different the two groups seem - even though we all share exactly the same streets, put up with the same dangers, pay the same taxes and use our legs to get us around.

I often miss the rider down threads now that they are in their own section, maybe other people do also?

Also, again purely speaking for myself, but I don't think that politicians give a flying fuck what I think, and that anything I do/petitions I sign would make a blind bit of difference to whatever outcome the council has set out to achieve.

Even the mildest discussion can end up as a slang/troll match so just think how an in depth discussion could end up

how difficult would it be to get a new fork for this frame? http://fietsen-brommers.marktplaats.nl/fietsonderdelen/480956125-gazelle-baanframe-59cm-fixie-fixed-gear-baanfiets-campagnolo.html and by new i mean anyone thats drilled, i think I'd manage with an old one. And would it be possible to use a new ahead style fork on that frame?

What is the point of toilet attendants? I've not met a single person who appreciates the service they provide.
I know how to squirt soap in to my own hands, and why would I want a lolly?
-
• #18046
He wasn't an attendant. That wasn't liquid soap. And it wasn't a lolly.
-
• #18047
^^^If I stood next to you at the urinals, you'd soon understand the purpose of toilet attendants

WTF is the seat clamp size for a Fuji Roubaix Pro (the 853 one)? I've tried measuring it but my micrometer is cheap and crappy, can't get a definitive reading. Have tried googling and thought I'd got it when I discovered the front mech fits at 28.6 therefore the seat post clamp should be 28.6, non? No, I bought a 28.6 clamp off the bay, which arrived this morning but it's too tight even if I try forcing it with lube. Seat post is 27.2.
Does anyone know?

Do you know if there's a tool at LMNH?
now that's a leading question
It looks like a specialist part - something you can't really make up in the workshop :-/
Good luck with that.
(Try to find a hotel with that shower head in the bathrooms. Bring big suitcase with tools).
