What is the appropriate way to deal with aggressive moronic cyclists, from a driving perspective?
Had an incident today taking my mum to hospital, and some lycra-clad fool became so furious he couldnt squeeze past the gap on our left that he felt the need to yell "you fucking idiot!" right into the passenger window (where my mother was sitting). This was not a cycle lane, did not "cut him up" at all, was well in front when had to get onto left to make space for oncoming traffic. Geezer had at least 13 metres at a snailspace to think about pausing or going around.

disgraceful behaviour, these self righteous cyclists. like the ones that keep riding 2 abreast on a narrow road keeping a que of traffic waiting behind. Giving everyone else a bad name, i sometimes try and tell them they're a disgrace... they don't listen though, just start shouting and swearing. very often these look like right weak little men as well. always the way.

None of the things you can do to affect the cyclist are worth the trouble, so that just leaves concentrating on driving properly and enjoying the feeling of superiority when some other bell end either can't or won't do likewise.

Nothing useful yet. If you look in the podcast section of the itunes store Radio Lingua Network do a 10 episode "1minute Swedish" series which is pretty pointless but good to get the first few words and used to hearing the sounds. One issue I had was with pronunciation - when someone just gives you a phrase and you repeat it it, it is hard to break it down and get a proper grip on what is going on eg. what the individual words in the phrase mean. I also signed up for the swedishpod101 and they deal with this a bit better but their podcasts are all mixed up with advanced lessons in amongst beginner ones, they promise lots of free additional materials if I signed up to their website but so far all I can see is spam.
It doesn't answer your question, but my advice would be not to take shortcuts. If you're in London, go to a reputable language school like International House. No language learning 'mechanism' or 'method' can replace good teaching and having actual people to talk to. I'm sure you know this and have chosen to go via the on-line route for a reason, so this is probably completely redundant advice. Ultimately, going for a proper course will be a big time and frustration-saver for you, though.

Had exactly same thing - waiting on the lights to turn left then a nodder shoots past on the inside and insist on going straight. WAC! Called me a* "cunt"* and such. And what for? Because I position myself properly on the road according to the direction I'm about to take? He'd probably do the same shit if I was on the bike - only because I left enough space for him to undertake. Some people...
