I want to learn Swedish from scratch, and would like to become at least casually conversant eventually. Can anyone recommend any good (and hopefully free/very cheap) online language courses. I was looking at rosetta stone and others but they cost hundreds, even for the basic level. I'd have thought that somewhere there would be a great open source language resource but I don't know where to look.
Oh, and I recently acquired a kindle so if it worked on that then that would be ace but not vital.
