Can anyone recommend a good phone repair place nearish to SE20? My Google Pixel 4a needs a battery issue sorting out.

Im thinking I want to cut an m6 thread into the axle of an SP dynamo QR hub.., is this acceptable or a bit mental?
-
• #111308
Aluminium axle? I'd gauge the bore carefully, but it's likely to be a bit too far over the tap size for M6 to be safe and reliable. Steel axles are proven, but aluminium is half to a third of the strength and really should have full form threads.

Thanks for the advice, will double check but if it’s aluminium I won’t risk it

Anyone know where I can find a list of "Col Reservés days" in France this year?......if still going ahead!
-
• #111311
There is alway the option to ream out what is likely to be a 5.5mm bore to 6.0 and then tap it M7×1.0, the taps and screws are readily available despite not being a preferred size.

this is ridiculous but: how do I stop myself crossing my legs at my desk?! It is really bad for me, it makes work horribler that it needs to be but I do it compulsively.
I have tried to provide myself with an adequate workspace and followed the HS guidelines but to no avail. Do I need a kneeling desk stool thing or is there something I can attach to my chair? I know, bizarre question and I fell silly. My work really stresses me out too.

Grow a pair, a really big, inconvenient pair.

I have a similar issue and find raising my feet 10-15cm on a box helps a bit

Would this issue (braking forces wanting to eject the wheel) be less severe with a smaller wheel, assuming the rotor would stay the same size?
-
• #111320
Cheers for the offer, it's really kind.
I've ordered some from IKEA spares, so I'll see if they fit first.
-
• #111322
Yes, because for a given horizontal force at the ground contact, the smaller wheel requires less brake torque. For the same reason, a larger rotor has less reaction for a given brake torque

Looking to strip out all the gps data from a .fit file so that on import to strava it picks up the speed sensor & hrm data only (GPS output currently says I rode 2 miles in 2hrs). Is there a website that'll do this, or is it easily done via a text editor?

I'd try https://www.fitfiletools.com/ but I can't confirm it works before posting this because I'm in the bath.
what is the biggest square that will fit inside a 15cm diameter circle?
