  • like a babies arm holding an apple.

  • ^?

Also, where can i get thick cotton fabric for cheap?

  • india

  • is there anywhere particularly cheap in london?

  • Should I let sleeping dogs lie?

  • Yes.

  • snuggle up next to them - dogs are so warm andnice to cuddle up to :(

  • It's not so much about the friction. A turbulent boundary layer wraps around a cylindrical/spherical body a bit before separating, which reduces form drag -- which is generally much larger than the skin friction. Making the body surface rough (or dimpled like a golf ball) to encourage a turbulent BL would increase skin friction, but it's worth it to for the substancial reduction in form drag.

But that doesn't mean you always want turbulent boundary layers, It just depends on the best way to avoid flow separation. I'm not sure not much this really matters when it comes to bicycle paint, but I don't really know anything about bike aerodynamics.

Exactly; this is just what I couldn't be bothered to type as I was tired last night.

  • Hippy extrudes 531 from his antipodean butt.
He is paid handsomely for his efforts.

531 formed exclusively from Polish sausage, easter cakes and a mix of Tyskie, Lech, Zywiec.. 953 doesn't stand a chance!

    But smell like dog.

  • has anyone got one of these ,
if so, what is the serial number and does it have wrap around seat stays.

"In 1974, an entirely different numbering system was introduced for the higher end (531 and subsequently 753) Raleighs. Serial numbers should begin with a "W", which stands for Worksop, the facility that produced theses frames. This is followed by another alphabet. This alphabet indicates the fortnight in which the frame was built (i.e. A = 1st fortnight, B = 2nd, etc.). The third character is always a numeral. It indicates the year of manufacture, the decade being assumed (i.e. "4" could be '74 or '84; it is up to the interpretor to know enough to tell if the frame is from the 70's or 80's). What then follows is a series of numbers. At this point, these appear to be some sort of sequence, but this has not been substantiated."

Pretty sure it didn't have wraparound stays

  • How late can I drink an espresso today without it affecting tonight's sleep?

I've just turned on my coffee machine. Oooh yeah..

Poland ain't famous for its coffee for a reason (I was in a small country town and to be fair I've had lovely coffee in Krakow and Warsaw).

It depends on YOUR reaction to caffeine. I've had espresso before bed with no ill effects and sometimes I've stayed up for hours. Depends if you're trying to get to sleep or not, what else you've eaten, how tired you are, how much you masturbate beforehand..

  • I agree with that Hipporami.

In fact I think a build up of caffeine throughout the day affects my sleep more than just one coffee later on

  • how do you pronounce Londis as in:

    is it Londiss or Londies?

Lon diss or 'the shop'. Accept no substitute.

  • Welcome home.

  • I agree with that Hipporami.

Just drop a load of Xanax or valium at the same time to cool those caffeine jets..

  • Welcome home.

    It's good to be back..

    ^ I almost mean that :)

It wasn't raining and I have 4 days off! What should I do with this long weekend?

  • Ride tomorrow, rest Saturday then come to Rollapalooser. Eat all day Sunday then ride on Monday.

  • That sounds like trackie talk.

Ride tomorrow, drink, ride Sat, Rolla Sat, ride Sunday, drink, ride Monday, rest at work.

I've got a bike in Poland now. Riding over there is pretty cool. Did 400k+ over there. Not a single beep even though I was holding up traffic some times (no road shoulder). Some dodgy overtaking but usually when I was in a car not on the bike. Great mountains. VERY quiet roads over Easter. I hate the fact I have to ride for 2hrs to hit a hill here. Grr.

  • 2hrs? but you're not that far from Richmond park and it's daunting hills

  • South London lost its hills?

  • In the Eurythmics song 'You Have Placed A Chill In My Heart', in the opening verse Annie Lennox sings 'Show me the colour of your right hand', which is the last line.

    What does it mean?

  • It means fuck all, like most pop lyrics.

  • 2hrs? but you're not that far from Richmond park and it's daunting hills

    spits on Richmond Park

I think I'm allergic to that place.

  • South London lost its hills?

My stab vest doesn't fit these days. Anyway, nothing rideable* distance from London is any good. spits again

*yeah, piss off audaxers, I know I could ride to Scotland but it's not happening ok?!
