  • I am moving house on Saturday - I need to essentially get a removal firm but they are very expensive. Any other options? I want to hire a van but I can't drive. A friend just mentioned getting a large taxi; has anyone got experience of that?

If all your belongings will fit into a large taxi then you might as well just find someone who has a car. Ask xander, pay him with morphine.

Im afraid I am unavailable pretty much all weekend! My car has helped nhatt move in the past and has been subject to many forumengers bikes being shoved in it!

  • 1 bullet, Tebbit and Archer; who gets it?

    Put their heads together?

    Really it's Thatcher.

  • why is sibelius such an insufferable cunt of a program

I owe you a reply to a text. I am free, but driving a van terrifies me. I have a small car and can act as auxiliary mover/tea maker/other assistance. But not van captain, please.
    (sorry)

  • All quiet on the Jeffrey Archer front. What's he up to?

Organising a charity auction thing at the moment. He's at home too. I can sort of see his windows from my office smoking area. He's got a big tree in his front room.

Have you got a clear line of sight Snowy? If so, I think that answers TheorySwine's question. A bird in the hand and all that.

    Oh, sweet. Panic averted, then!

Didn't want to chase you as it's really a ridiculous favour... many thanks.

I have a bookcase that's a bit big- what car do you have?

    Writing another shit book

  • Like he writes them. He has people who do that for him.

Get a man with a van. Bloody cheap considering (generally £50 for 2 hr minimum) and the guy helps you move shit. I used Alloa George a while back and was happy with the service.

  • or, in the immortal words of peep show, 'men with ven'.

  • Which coating finish is the most aerodynamic?
    Matte
    Satin
    Gloss

  • Mink

  • artex

  • Out of the three choices I gave, you fucking trolls!

  • Satin.

  • Or Matte.

  • Definitely not gloss though.

  • puts sunglasses on

  • andyp, can you post the data that lead you to this conclusion?

  • Which coating finish is the most aerodynamic?
    Matte
    Satin
    Gloss

I have two identical frames. The matte black one goes faster than the gloss white one for some reason. I don't think this is due to one having quality components and the other being run in to the ground, but it might be a small contributing factor.

  • it's all about keeping the air turbulent as it passes over your frame. Fluid dynamics innit.

  • andyp, can you post the data that lead you to this conclusion?

It's binary output from the windtunnel software.

  • Matte but polished.

Do you have the comparison data? this is just for the Gloss finish.
