Anyone ever posted a bike to europe? Can I do this from the post office, or do I need to arrange a courier? How much does it cost?
It's a pain in the arse I'd rather not deal with but no-one else is interested in buying my bike. Internet sad face.

Does anyone have any cold miracle cures? Im only 3 days into this streaming headcold, and its pissing me off, Im up to my eyeballs in vitamins and decongestants, and my usual hot fresh ginger and orange brew doesnt appear to be touching the sides. The BF finally gets home tomorrow after 4 months away, and id really like not to be such a snotty mess.
Fucking Immune System.

It's not too difficult. Get a bike box from a bike shop, pack the bike up as well as you can, then contact either www.parcel2go.com or www.interparcel.com and get them to quote. Then pick the cheapest/best quote and they'll come and get it.
I've shipped a couple of frames to Europe and it cost me around £20 each time.

What would be a realistic price to sell a 56cm Racelight RC2 Frame? It is in good condition just one scratch.
Not very popular on ebay so hard to find a price. -

$50

2 Kitkats and a half eaten Twirl.

How the shit do the cycle hire scheme bikes work? I've just paid one pound as a 'casual user' with my debit card.now what? There doesn't seem to be any place to input a number or code apart from the 3 digits on the station above the membership key slot.
I'm standing by Waterloo looking a berk, so any input received gratefully.

Ask the touch screen computer thing for help?
-
• #10115
Did it not spew out a receipt? We've used them when paying by debit card and it gave us a code on the receipt to enter to release the bike, which is another effort in itself.
-

I tried. It spat in my face.
(it didn't really but it was spectacularly vague. 'How it works: Hop on, hop off a hire bicycle as often as you like')
Thousands of people do this every day. What's wrong with me?
-
• #10117
It did give me a receipt but I can't for the life of me work out which code to input or where.
-
• #10118
The code is about 5 digits long if I remember correctly, so check for a number about that length. At each place where the bikes themselves are locked is a keypad thing with just the numbers 1-3, so the code will be a mixture of only those numbers. Enter that, and pull hard. They don't budge easily.

I have the same issue with a lot of things many people can do easily. I suppose it's that I'm used to more complex computer systems etc, so when it comes to an overly simplified user interface I have got no idea what I'm doing! Examples include buying a train ticket, or using something like iTunes...

That was absolutey terrifying. More later when my heart rate settles.

Am I the only one seeing "Error 503" repeatedly around 2/3am?
But then you have to remember the correct mutations for every possible combination of letters and it's a bitch. And answering questions sucks too because you have to reference the same word patterns like 'ydych' and 'oes' when all I want to do is make an affirmative grunt.
I'm not knocking Welsh though, even though it's defunct and a bit useless, it's fun to speak.
