mitts sans padding? cos I like padding. and I like specialized body geometry.
-
• #10003
No with padding. My massi ones are very comfortable but they've only lasted about 8 months

• #10004
Yeah, get some Spesh BG gloves.
-
• #10005
Why don't people want to buy my stuff? Can you smell the desperation or something?
-
• #10006
Yeah, get some Spesh BG gloves.
+1 to Specialized, always decent products at sensible prices. I'm still using BG mitts I bought 10 years ago.

Agree with you, but with one reservation about the shoes.
I had the previous generation S-Works shoes, both road and MTB, and they both failed at the back where the sole was bonded (not well enough it would appear) to the heel.
To give Spesh there due they warranteed both pairs with no quibble- I spent the money on Sidi's.

I like Gore mitts because of the loops between the fingers that let you get them off when hands are wet or sweaty.
^I also managed to separate the upper and sole of some Sidis so clearly we are powerful riders of power who destroy shoes with the watts we gotts.

I really like Specialized clothes and shoes but their durability has declined a lot in the last few years. The soles of the shoes come unstuck and the stitching in the gloves fails. Not up to Campagnolo's heroic standards of look-great-but-only-last-weeks but nowhere near as good as they used to be.

^^^ Low end Assos have those loops. Really handy. I've worn mine out from the inside out for a change. Took 2yrs of racing to do it.
-
• #10012
The loops are a good point- I've kept wearing my short finger Gore gloves well past the point that they should have been binned due to that nice design touch.

Bestest gloves I've ever owned (inspired by Dammit's).

I have the same, they're great.

I wear them almost all year round - apart from the coldest and the hottest days.
The nylon-like (polyester?) part on the fingertips has started to fray a bit -

i'm a big fan of glove loops, but the ones on my current gloves have ripped off for the most part. I'm going to go to a lbs near me that sells of loads of spesh stuff tomorrow for a browse i think, cheers for the advice

These chaps do good budget short finger gloves with removal loops.

I like their budget jerseys too. Then again, I'm not one for worrying too much what I look like but they work well.

Photographers, I can't remember the name of 2 photographers I need to remember. Constant memory fail is the bain of my life. So, if I describe some photos, can you guess the photographer?
First one, I'm sure it's Jamie..., most obvious pic is of a fat sunburned woman with blue eye goggles on, sun bathing. He does a lot of high saturated photos, very americana, pictures of donuts with colourful glazing and the like.
2nd Photographer, I think is Japanese, his photography focuses on repetition of colourful things. Most memorable picture is one of a Japanese supermarket that has rows and rows of yellow and red sweets.
