You're lucky we live in England and you are protected by our relaxed laws. People get stoned to death for less.
phew. god bless the mother country.

I dont know who that is, but im quite partial to the wee lass from Total Recall... Like a mini Lara Croft, IMO.

I propose an LFGSS bridges ride starting at exactly the same time, on the same route, but in the opposite direction.
Haha!

some people were flying on the last bridges ride
something to do with a special sacrament

You lot are mental.
I think teddy's got a point. People are definitely being inspired by what happens here. Not really sure if you can get annoyed by that, though i can see how your Worldwide Tweed Wave must have felt strange having little to do with the other rides (I assume).
BRM's planned event should be interesting, I like the idea of a 'virtual' LEJOG with a tag team. Not sure whether its a completely 'new' idea, but then what is? I really hope it gets lots of support.

You're right! Best tell shoots and pajamas to reschedule itna, don't cancel it, we could sorta interfere with it :)

....
and this is the 'real' bridges ride
http://www.bike99.com/thamescrossings.htmlLFGSS bridges ride is an innovation.
Fixed.
People have been riding over the bridges since bikes were invented.
I'll wager our spin on it is a lot more fun though, unless you are into bibles.

got to say I think with how many rides we do, and how many people come on the rides it was bound to spread beyond us.
question is he going over all the bridges along that route or just beside them? and how can it be a bridges ride if you don't cross any of the bridges?
Victim of our own success is what we are, would be nice to have been given a little credit for making riding over the bridges once again popular. But hey can't have everything. -

TBH, the chairty is tiny. It's income is only about £30k per year. Something like this and their docklands rides probably make a considerable impact on their turnover. Naughty naughty for not using their charity number on the flyer.
As for their christianityness... they're a twelve steps abstinence based programme, if you agree with Alcoholics Anonymous / Gamblers Anonymous etc. its essentially the same thing - a belief in a higher being at the top of the steps.
God, what a fucking dull post I've just made.

i mean... they have to be crossing the bridges. or else it's just a ride along the thames, right?

Imitation, flatery etc.
People can ride where they want but they'll never be as good as our rides 'cos we're not there.

indeed, having an idea original to you, does not mean it's an original idea to the world....I think I've seen dozens of charity London Bridges walks.....

An elephant with the penis of a mouse making love to a halibut, whist bungy jumping.

the lopropoloco ride, route and date is, of course, not going to change, and if for some reason the routes clash then they will do so coincimentally.. and I would expect a cheery "good day" to be coming from the lo pro camp as the bridges ride will have enough to cope with trying to process what they are seeing..

How about the Devil ride. All dress up as our favoret firey demons. Ride at the same time and place as the chrisian ride. £10 entry fee. All proceeds go to me getting AC/DC tickets. Plan?

The first part of that is an ace idea. We should turn up one or two LFGSSdevils at each bridge so the longer their ride goes on the more freaked out they get.

it's not really an ace idea though is it..
People get stoned on the Bridges Ride too. And drunk!
