I got into a bit of a flamewar with some friends on Facebook over apple and new iOS', BUT why would you upgrade the moment it comes out after knowing that early adopters are always the real world guinea pigs. Wait a week/month or two and the majority of the issues/bugs/things that break your computer are sorted.

What's with the need to be first in the village with the shiny new apple thing? Even when you know, as many of you have had this happen in the past with updates, that it will go tits up first time round..

Been there in the past and apple software upgrades have fucked things up, not i pretty much dont upgrade anything thats working... Its always people tho that dont use there mac for anything other than the internets tho. So even if it does pie there computer they wont have much too lose

Running mavericks since this morning, working better than mountain lion did on my 2009 macbook!

My parents want to get me something for my birthday, the only thing thats an annoyance just now is my mid 2009 macbook pro 2.26 c2d

it has 5gb (4+1) of ram and its getting a bit sad when i run my external monitor, especially if im trying to watch tv on the monitor and work on my laptop

will getting more ram (4+4) and putting an SSD in it help these issues? or are these CPU issues?

anyone have an old intel mac mini for sale?

I'm looking for something for my workshop, budget around £150-200.

I'd get a cheapo G4 but barely any programs support it (chrome/flash etc)

Any other recommendations?
