  • Can't stop thinking about that 30" screen. That was the stuff of dreams a few years ago, but now for 400 odd, it's almost feasible... Wonder if my 13" mbp will manage it though

  • So much more comfortable working off an external monitor than a laptop screen.

  • We had a freelancer who worked off a 13" Macbook Air, mad bastard, we're sat there getting tans from our 27" Cinema displays and he's hunched over this little silver Game & Watch, ffs

  • Plus CS is all kinds of fucked on retina so I need me some regular pixels and some screen real estate for indesign fun.

  • Anybody got anything Mac shaped going for relatively cheap at the moment? My 2007 mbp just killed its second graphics card and I'm not sure I can be bothered to try and revive it again.

  • No one bought it within a week so I panic bought a new screen...

  • What does it mean when the mac hoots like a ship entering the port? Something like a fire alarm? Overheated?

  • Unknown error most of the times, dont worry just do a hard restart (hold power button for good 10+ seconds) and get an SSD soon ;)

  • Yeah, HDD didn't pass the SMART test

  • SDDs are soooo tiny (and my pockets shallow)

mate not-on-here has a 13" MBP(7,1) for sells, £650-700 I think. was a couple of weeks ago, shall ask if it's still around?

  • Think I'll probably go for a slightly cheaper mac mini off ebay for now, thanks though.

  • apple refurb also, always some nice minis on there.
    £469 for a 2.5ghz i5 with 4gb ram.

  • Start researching mini DVI connectors...

When powering on? As in it sounds like the fan is going bat shit crazy?
    Could try resetting the SMC...

  • Is there still any way to downgrad an iPhone 4 to iOS 6 ?

  • Would restoring do that?

  • Thanks, but this is obsolete.

From all I've read, Apple blocks the downgrade since some days.
    Upon restoring, iTunes checks with the update server, which does not accept the 'old' .ipsw-file (any more);
aborts with error "3194" - see also the comments of the youtube video.

    Screw this!
Now I'm forced to use a laggy phone or what. This is fucking outrageous.

  • Isn't there a fix with the 4 something to do with uploading all messages to iCloud? Friend said he had to do the same with his iPhone 4 - it's fine now.

  • Sorry, I don't get what you're talking about like at all.

  • I can't remember exactly but iCloud backs up all your messages as they send - try turning that function off and it should speed the phone up.

  • I can get someone an edu discount mac if anyone needs, im not going to be using my 1 per school year this year for sure

  • what do you get off the screens?
