If it's full it can play up, I know the VSCO photo app crashes when the phone runs out of memory. Any app that isn't properly built to manage lack of memory will have troubles, so free up some space and see if it helps

I have an old ipod touch (2nd gen I think) which you can't install a lot of stuff on as the firmware's too old. Is it relatively easy to jailbreak and update the firmware?
Cheers

Yeahhhh, 1500 photos, several dozen offline playlists and podcasts, loads of apps and fuck knows what else...
Might not be entirely Bill Apple's fault (RIP)

I wouldn't even try.
I downgraded my old iPhone 3G back to iOS 3 because the update to 4 made it run like absolute shit. -

Does anyone East have a firewire cable that has 400 one end and 800 the other that I could maybe borrow for a few days please thank you?
-
• #4208
^ I solve that by daisy chaining an fw800 drive with a fw400

TIAYes, but never for that price.
Is she a Uni student as you can normally get 10 to 14% off if you are.
I'd get it for half that price.

I was looking into this recently. Currently I don't think the tech is there yet. The only one I could find that was getting consistently good review was the Casio http://world.g-shock.com/us/en/ble/
However it's a G-Shock so pretty ugly. I give it a year and there will be some good ones about.

So... my MBP is still pretty dead despite the very generous OmarLittle giving me the cable I needed to boot in target disc mode.
I think the HD is dead... it fires up but never gets past the grey apple screen, maybe it's just the OS thats dead? CD drive is bust and it's not detecting USB drives... anybody more cleverer than me have any suggestions?
Alternatively, does anyone have a laptop I could rent off them for a week so I could restore my backup and transfer vital files?
Long shot a rama. -
• #4223
oh, and it doesn't show up in target disc mode...
-
• #4224
Dunno if it works, but could you boot via another computer doing target disk mode, but the other way around?

Crucial have a sale on SSDs at the mo:
http://www.crucial.com/uk/index.aspx
That or logging out of my apple ID for a few hours, doing a proper reset of the phone and then some proper housekeeping and updating then logging back in. In all honesty I really haven't kept on top of updates and haven't deleted any files for about a year. It's fit to burst. Thinking about it now I'm really not all that surprised that it's finally shit itself.
