New I-Mac? What's the point of it being slim?
It shakes around more than the older one and it doesn't need to be that thin, your not saving any space?
Yes it may have the wow factor but is there any need?

Wow factor sells products. Anyway haven't pc all in ones caught up with the iMac by now? Probably needed something to keep them seeming one step ahead.

They are pretty ugly still, it's quite odd, I actually looked into them as I wanted something Mac Mini like but with a decent graphics card... no luck.

Ha, I'm coming here for the same reason.

More of an auzzie map company fail, apple failing to notice one of the plots for a town of 30,000 amongst millions not being in the right place is really not their fault is it?
Is anyone in London using the apple maps and happy with them?

Monday was the first time in years that i'd been really frustrated with my Mac.
My BT keyboard died on Monday, after having it since they first came out (2007 ish?). Not a problem as 5 / 6 years is plenty good service imo.
Popped to the Apple store and bought a new one, came home to install it and couldn't get it to pair with my Mac Mini. It turns out that, aside from fresh installing ML, there is no way of pairing a new BT keyboard with your Mac when it's at the login screen. As both mine and my girlfriends profiles are password protected, i could not get into the desktop to pair it.
I actually had to go back out to Argos, cough up £6 for a sclaffy looking usb one, come home, type precisely 9 characters with it and then i could use my new one.
Middle class problems, i know, but it pissed me off.

I had to buy a wired keyboard when i got my mac mini as I couldn't pair it to the bluetooth logitech one i'd bought to go with it when running through the ML setup wizard.
annoyingly the magic trackpad paired just fine.

Right. I've not updated to iOS6 yet, for the obvious reason being I want the original and proper Google Maps App. It's one of the main reasons I got an iPhone in the first place. I don't want the piss poor Apple Maps in it's place. But I'm getting fed up with the little red (1) on my settings icon and now some of my other apps will not update without iOS6 and so more annoying little red (1)'s.
Now I know you can use Google Maps through the browser and add it to the homepage etc. whatever. But this isn't good enough.
Can anyone tell me if/when Google will release an decent Maps App for iOS6 please? I'd even be willing to pay for it. I'm sure I'm not alone. Why can't Google see this massive marketing opportunity?
Or am I missing something? -

Google will not as it would take Android sales.
It was google refusing to release vector maps for iOS that started this bullshit.
Bit stupid as the only company that actually make money from Android is Microsoft, but there you go. -

Ah well, some of it's right there in that article, but it looks like events have overtaken me. It probably took a few staff departures to make it happen, but lets hope it does.

Don't think google have said anything definitive either way:

I'm not sure that android sales will necessarily be a massive influence on whether they make an iOS app or not, they've recently released major updates to their search and mail apps for iOS, and immediately released an official youtube app when apple dropped their one. Keeping people using there services is probably up there in the list of priorities with android sales, lets not forget that google doesn't make money directly from the majority of android sales.

^ yup...
Download Google maps for iOS here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/google-maps/id585027354?mt=8
Don't mind the new iTunes, the only thing I think is terrible in it is that you can't search songs on your iPhone/iPod when it's plugged in. I usually prefer plugging mine it at work it's a pain in the arse.
