i have a stupid question. i have done the icloud thing. all of my songs are now available in the cloud (took days to upload btw). so can i go ahead and clear my hard drive? I'M SCARED!
Nope! I believe it syncs with what you have on your hard drive... take it off your hard drive and it removes it from the cloud! It's in the cloud so you can access essentially whats on your hard drive on other computers and iOS devices...

Best monitor on the market (if you care about colour)
I would agree with that. I have been lusting after one myself. Don't they do a 30" version which would have to trump the 27 as the best monitor in the world?
-
• #3032
Yeah, but I was offering the best at the size he was going for.
Seriously though, the few people that have seen mine have lusted after it (the monitor).

If you mean you want to run your system on the imac and have access to the files on your laptop, just boot the laptop in target disk mode and connect to the imac via thunderbolt.
http://www.macworld.com/article/1160887/targetdiskmodethunderbolt.htmlIf you mean using the imac as an external display for the OS on the laptop, use target display mode on the imac.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3924If you want both systems running at the same time, you might (as mr_tom suggested) want to use synergy, using the LAN/airdrop/ to move files around.
