and what option did either of them have? firewire? usb? etc.
-
• #2703
If they're 2.5" external they'll probably be just USB as they'll draw power through that
-
• #2704
Probably, but I have a 2.5" external WD My Passport firewire 800, hence the question.

• #2706
have you tried re-booting the keyboard?
Nothing works. It's something with Lion, as it worked just after installing it, but before the 10.7.2 update and a reboot.
Brightness and two function buttons also work. Volume and the rest of the keys don't.I've tried switching BT off and re-pairing the perfirerials, resetting PRAM and resetting SMC to no avail.

Keyboard layout?
-
• #2708
Nope.
Nothing changed.Keyboard is paired, but when I open Wireless Keyboard Setup the assistant is searching... Not sure if it's searching for another device or the one which is paired with computer is the one it has problem communcate with.

I installed it from a small partition on the HD.

What I didn't mention is that the company car was a very high end Jag... so they must be profiting something silly (and therefore overpricing themselves) to afford that. Unless it was the CEO I spotted driving around.
Leased.
Tax write off.
You took note of it so it's clearly working for them as a promotional tool.
I used to think the same of my previous employer.. oh wait.. they were profiting something silly while we worked ourselves to near death.

and what option did either of them have? firewire? usb? etc.
Both drives are internal and going into my unibody mac book and 5400rpm so the only question is reliability vs size.
I've had internal drives by both manufacturers before and had no issues with either.

Kris, are the keyboard batteries ok?
Can you pair with an iPad and use that? Is there an app for that? -

Everytime I open a new webpage I'm getting a dialogue titled "Slow Script" with the following written in it,
"Safari is no longer responding because of a script on the webpage “Bike Anti-Porn - When Things Go Wrong - Page 438 - London Fixed-gear and Single-speed” (http://www.lfgss.com/thread4037-438.html). Do you want to stop running the script, or let it continue?"
And there's a stop and a continue button.
I'm getting it for every page I open, hotmail, facebook, here etc and when I google it all I can come up with is instances where this happens very occasionally and it's to do with individual sites but that's obv not the case here.
Any ideas?

Restart, try firefox. If it's only safari back up your book marks and prefs, delete the pref file. If still not fixed download a fresh safari.

MBpro running win7 in BC periodically ejects any disk that's in the drive. Rather annoying when watching a DVD or trying to import a CD to itunes.
Anyone ever come across it?
Also, and just for the record, iCloud and IOS5 and the inability to sync properly can go suck a fuck.
-
• #2719
sounds like iCloud is still broken, even on their 2nd attempt?
-
• #2720
I have iCloud across two macs an iPhone and two Apple TVs and it works perfectly... i really dont see why everyone finds it so hard.
-
• #2721
It's because you're in the illuminati. Everyone else is fucked.
-
• #2722
:) ha.
What's not syncing?
-
• #2723
Well actually it's syncing now so it's not an issue, but it required deleting the cloud account from the device.
iOS was up to date. iTunes was up to date. Copied everything across except music which it would either say 'failed to sync' on, or would just hang at 'waiting to sync' for hours on end. Only tried syncing it to a new laptop on Saturday, worked fine with the same settings on old machine.
Anyway, issue was fixed by deleting iCloud account and is copying away as we speak - only 4000 songs to go... -

Fair enough... the one i had problems with last week was iTunes Match. It found 9k of my songs on iTunes but couldn't find the other 1,500. It spent a week uploading those despite having a 2.5Mb upload on my broadband. Excruciating.
It's sweet now it's done though.
is the 750 any faster?
