  • also the tape needs a wipe

  • Works perfectly for me, everything is connecting via Bluetooth and it just works.

  • My issue is my power meter and hr strap are ANT+, so I've nothing talking on bluetooth and my iPad Pro doesn't play nice with my USB ANT+ dongle (I assumed it'd be plug and play as it is on the laptop, but no dice). If the bridge ever shows up I'll have the situation resolved, instead I'm just making do with my laptop, a tangle of extension cables and not using zwift, no biggie.

  • ah I thought P2Ms were Bluetooth .. I have a spare ANT+. dongle if you want

  • I’ll take a spare Bluetooth p2m if you’ve got one.

  • Any good to you?

  • You'd need a converter from 30 pin to Thunderbolt/USB-C

  • Does anyone know why autocorrect has gone mental on iPhones? And is there an easy fix? Ready to sling the fucker out the window.

  • while of interest, having done some googling I don't think I could live with the dongle chain this entails.

  • It is certainly neater to have everything capable of using a native communication protocol.

The Neo quite happily uses Bluetooth or ANT+ for all it's comms, and a Wahoo Tickr HR strap or Mio wrist band both also use Bluetooth for HR.

  • Does anyone know why autocorrect has gone mental on iPhones?

Could it be that you have multiple keyboards (different languages) activated, and are at the "wrong" one?

  • Don't think so, it's just started doing thing's like changing the into t he, and making huge jumps in terms of assumptions about what I'm typing, often correcting into things that make no sense. Friends have complained about the same problem too. No one is quite sure why or whats happening though.

  • Mine is the same and has been for a while.

  • Yes, just bought a refurb Mac Mini. Useful break on the sticker price and delivery was quick and well tracked.

  • Nice to know.

  • I've bought from there a few times, never had any issues at all

  • Just read that the 4iiii hrm works as a ant+ to bluetooth bridge if that helps

  • Good find! That would be the tidiest solution I reckon, but my bridge was dispatched from the states last night so I'm stuck with it. After customs it'll work out about the same, and a cursory google doesn't show up any viiiivas in stock anywhere obvious, so no regerts.

The joke in all of this is that I'm not actually going to give zwift a go, it's just gentle @amey trolling.

  • It’s actually pretty good tbh. I’ve used TR in the past and would have done that again only I’ve a lot of mates from home on Zwift and at this point I’ll take any form of social outlet I can get. Bonus is that Zwift has a few decent plans just like TR.

To bring things back on topic, I bought the iPad Pro 10.5” off @JonD and it’s absolutely lovely. I wish I’d bought one sooner. Will be buying a matching iPhone as soon as I recover from buying a power meter and iPad this month!

  • If the bridge ever shows up I'll have the situation resolved

    This?
    https://www.cyclepowermeters.com/zwift/npe-cable.html

  • Yup, but your google fu is superior to mine as I only found US stockists.

  • Ok. Let me know how it goes once it arrives. I’m pulling my hair out trying to get this wahoo ant+ key thing to work.

  • My MacBook won’t start at all, tried usual boot technics. I think the problem might be this (picture) - does anyone have a MacBook Air power cable they can sell me? Pref north london?

  • I appear to have killed my 2016 MacBook Pro!

This morning it was fine running loads of programmes at the same time and two screens. Now, it starts incredibly slowly with fans on full blast. Almost unusable when running, with fans maxing out and CPU through the roof. Task manager can't show CPU usage at all. Diagnostic check shows everything running as normal. Reset SMC & NVRAM/PRAM has done nothing either. Even finder doesn't work.

Is there anywhere open that I can take it to get fixed? Obviously, Apple stores are closed. Any recommendations?

  • Never used them myself but a mate shared this on fb and looks like they're part open
