Yep.

Spendy official apple cable later and we are back.
-

BOOM.
I think these new standard of cable are prone to wearing out, something to do with the amount of data they are passing through and the heat generated from doing so.
My prick of a cat also has a habit of biting through my 60 quid TB3 cables, which is great. -

It’s possible my cat fucked the dell one.
Cheers man! Cable was half the price of the monitor...

Just popped into Apple looking for the new air- walked right past them as they’re all fucking huge. Where is the Mac Book replacement? I want something smaller than my 13” MBP.

I have one, maybe I should try to use it for work for the month of Feb, problem is that I (for my horrendous, excoriating sins) use PowerPoint a lot- and I’m uncertain that rapid slide creation is straightforward on an iPad?

Keynote doesn't look horrendous.

or if you can't change, it seems you can do most stuff pretty quickly (view details for timecodes to specific functions):

I'm planning on buying a new iPhone 11. I'm self employed and will be buying it for work so I want to use official channels for VAT, tax etc.
Is there any benefit to buying at John Lewis (for extended warranty) or is it just the same if I buy it through apple? Any other tricks or tips I should know?

Buy it on your personal credit card, the one that has some kind of reward points. Then expense it.
Also get all the peripheral stuff with it, case, extra charge cable, headphones etc.

Keynote doesn't look horrendous.
Issue with Keynote is that I'm often asked for the slides that I have presented, largely by people who use PC's, and I have found that when confronted with a Keynote file most go "WTF is this, pls send in Powerpoint".

If it's just the content they're interested (rather than your presumably jazzy delivery):

Keynote will export as a pdf, send them the pdf. They have the slides in a format viewable on a PC.
Job done. -

Buy they ALWAYS want to be able to edit them... ALWAYS!!!
And then they don't...
-
• #15072
Never let them edit it.

Oh, I know... I remember designing a sleeve for some mates, they asked for the InDesign files cuz they said their printer had requested them... Sleeve came back completely altered, they'd made a right cock up of it and my name was still credited... I was furious...

What do you suggest as a replacement?
