the files are stuck on the USB... it won't move anywhere... I tried the whole folder and move each file one at a time, they are stuck on the USB... I can preview some of the pdf, so I am sure they are still there...

If you've got a PC you can use do try that. I don't know why but USB sticks can get weird when changing between Mac and Windows

Will have to be tomorrow at work then...
I think one of us forgot to delete the files on the PCs from the training place, so it's not the end of the world, but it is annoying, nonetheless...
Thanks

So I thought I'd try again... and this is what I got with some of the files.... but then it's stuck... I reckons if I leave it be, it'd either crash my Mac or eventually works...
Another thing I have noticed - the files that were created on a PC got transferred fine onto my Mac, it's the files that were created on a Mac (someone else's), then got transferred onto a PC that wouldn't go onto my Mac.

Anyone know where to buy a Logic X shortcut keyboard skin for my mid 2015 MBP 15"?
All the ones I find online are of the US or US/EU layout (with the "reverse L" shaped return key). I need the EU one with the return shaped like a numeral 7.

On this site I'm seeing keyboard overlays that are covering the '7' Return and key next to it making it look like a reverse L.
Just learn the keys, it only takes 25 years :)

Dropping my MBP off tomorrow at the Apple shop in CG - keys are losing their surface again, and I noticed yesterday that the screws that hold the underside of the chassis together are backing out, with one lost and one halfway to freedom.
I'm going to see if I can work on my iPad Pro for the time the MBP is away - it was four days last time.
Any advice?

Pleasantly surprised that they fixed it and gave to back to me within half an hour.
I was expecting to be quite cross currently but everything went better than expected

Anyone on here replaced an iphone battery?
Think my SE could do with a new one, youtube vids make it look easy enough but would rather hear from someone real.
Tons of batteries on ebay, how do you tell what's worth getting and what isn't?
-

I’d buy second hand genuine ones from ebay. Make sure they’re in the 90+% health.
It can be tricky to replace because to get it off you have to pull the tape that’s underneath the battery, and there’s a strip at the bottom of the battery where the charging port is. To pull that strip out it might accidentally break then you won’t be able to reach it anymore to catch it and keep pulling.
I’ve done a few replacements for batteries on SE, sometimes the strip comes off easy, sometimes I end up taking off the charging port or the motherboard or both and shove a hard plastic card (like a bank card) underneath the battery to get it off and both are not easy but not hard either you just have to be careful not to damage any cables or pierce the battery etc, but I’ve managed them all in the end.
Otherwise Apple does them for £45. Overheard a customer getting his battery replaced today.

Otherwise Apple does them for £45
If that's all it costs I might just get them to do it, I knew there were batteries on ebay for around a tenner, thought I'd be willing to pay like £20 or £30 for a decent quality one, £45 isn't that much more than that.

I’d bite their hand off if it’s £45 all in.

What's the current position with iphones? Are there going to be new models out soon or are the current ones going to be around for a while? What's the current sweet spot in price? Doesn't need to be the latest, smaller screen is fine. Is there actually anything under £600 that's worth buying?
My girlfriend thinks I somehow know these things despite having never owned an iphone and viewing £300 as expensive for a phone.

The XR is good but over £600. The XS is good but £1000.
For a cheaper one the 7 is good. I had one and it was great. I upgraded to the XS and it seems very similar. A 7 will be around your price point. -

I’ve had an iPhone X for around 6months now, can’t complain. Personally wouldn’t go for the XR cause I feel like it’s the 5C version of an iPhone 5S. It’s also a bit wider than the X which I already think the X was uncomfortable at first but you get used to it either way I think. I had an 8 before and I don’t think it’s much different than the 7.
7 are around ~200 for 32gb or ~30 more for 128gb
8 are around £330 for 64gb and a bit more for 256gb
X are around £550 for 64gb
Second hand that is
can you dropbox the files from the mac?
