This is not a debit card, though.
Having now lived here for six months, banking is so fucked that I genuinely think this could improve many people’s banking experience; mine included.

The thing that always takes a little getting used to when I'm in the US is that possession of a card=authority to use that card. Signatures are never, ever checked - often it's impossible to check them as the server only collects the slip you sign after you have left.
Chip and PIN would have a massive impact on the process of paying - unsure how much of an impact it'd have on fraud, but it'd certainly change the experience.

I worked on a chip and pin pilot at a bank in the early 00s and remember very clearly chuckling at the grandiose claim that chip and pin would end bank card fraud. There was one particular meeting where I was scowled at and rebuffed for pointing out that France had been using chip and pin for ten years at that point and they still had fraud problems.
Edit: There are some suggestions that the US is no different http://fortune.com/2018/11/05/credit-card-chips-fail-to-halt-fraud-survey-says/

A titanium card with no details on it. Want.
What are the advantages of these two things? Just aesthetic?
The instant cashback, no late fees and no annual fee (which is normal for a premium card) is actually all quite interesting.

I don't own an iPhone anymore though and can't see myself switching back any time soon. Come on Google - bring the same to a Pixel.
Presumably you'll be able to add an Apple card to Google Pay... trol lol lol.

For me, just aesthetics. I thought it could be a debit card but as it's a credit card I'll steer clear. The rates are far from low as well:
"“Variable APRs range from 13.24% to 24.24% based on creditworthiness. Rates as of March 2019.” "

My other half's iPhone says it needs an update before she can phone or
use data, but also says it's up to date. Anyone had this? I think it's
an iPhone 5s?update on this - apple 'genius' says that this is a modem issue and can't be repaired and she'll need to buy a new phone. sounds like bullshit to me.

What version does it have on it currently?
It should support iOS 12, so if the phone has anything less than 12.1 (or 12.2, but that was only out yesterday) then it should be able to be updated.Connect to a computer/iTunes, download iOS from there and do an update/restore?
Maybe backup what you need and completely wipe and start again with updated OS...(haven't read through this guide but a quick scan looks sensible - https://www.gottabemobile.com/how-to-do-a-clean-ios-12-install/)

it updated to the latest iOS (well 12.something) then this happened. The suggestion by apple that it's a physical problem seems to be a very convenient!
Now its up to date, but apparently needs a (possible according to google) cellular carrier update.
Its on giffgaff, maybe I'll try them. -

Mad idea - what about the 2015 models? Avoid dongle town, can get an i7 with 16gb RAM, retina screen, cheaper... admittedly older and a bit heavier.
I had a Touch Bar MBP at my last job and it did nothing for me. Even the Touch ID was flakey.
The touchpad on the newer ones is lovely though.

cracked screen on the front of my iPhone 7, where's the nice but not pricey place to get it repaired?

My daughter had this happen recently. My wife found someone locally through Facebook to fix it. Around £50 I think.
Best to check reviews though as hers developed a problem with the button some time later which we put down to the new screen. -

Would not touch a pre 2016 model after moving to revision model 15 and 13 inch.

i7's have changed lots over the years.... quad core or GTFO these days, even on Ultrabooks.
Go for the base 13 and get an eGPU as even the highest end dGPU is crap.
Expense EVERYTHING. -

Oh yes I see, I was looking at the 2015 15-inch WHOOPS

I'm looking for a dock for work. I want to use 2 hdmi monitors, a wired keyboard and supply power to my macbook Pro. I only want to use one USB C is this possible?
-
• #13950
I've seen people doing this with some kind of USB-C dock box made by Dell.
Possibly one of these things
And N26, the other company doing metal detail-less debit cards.
