If that fails, I have one of these kicking about somewhere
Cake how much would you want for such a lovely device?

Next stop ordering a nice big monitor, this is what I have planned;

Will run on full resolution with my macbook as well. Working on excel will no longer be a pain in the ass with a 23" monitor!

I should imagine using a 23 for excel/ watching some films will be more than enough. I can't use excel on the 13inch screen which comes with the macbook, hence the reason for getting a 23.

Jobs: "Fully sick mate"Why is that proprietary?
It's just a fancy looking standard USB stick which ships with the new MacBook Air with the OS on it as a backup.http://www.engadget.com/2010/10/20/new-macbook-airs-come-with-software-reinstall-usb-drive/

Yep, people have been making those styles of usbs for ages haven't they?

Huh, new MacBook Air, well I never.
Liked the 11" one, dislike the price (as usual).

• #1061
I have the credit card at the ready. Will probably pick up the 11" on Saturday.

Can't tell if you are being serious or not so: It's not necessary... Kingston and others have made them like this for years:

Yes I am serious. I've only ever seen the normal ones and those really small ones for notebook mice.
It's been a while since I last bought a usb stick but not that long..Why do they make them fat at the other end - defeats the purpose, no?

Why do they make them fat at the other end - defeats the purpose, no?Fair enough.
No idea why the one above is fat at one end. It does defeat the purpose a little bit. Don't think Apple are that daft though.

i was indifferent to the macbook air until i picked one up. very sturdy and not flimsy yet unbelievably thin. they are a very desirable object
even with the vat off and discount they are still £800. as much as i would like one for traveling/vanity purchase i'll stick with my macbookpro. -
• #1068
Have they also done a new mac mini? When I've just visited the website it was telling me all about the new mac mini, but I can't notice any differences?
-
• #1069
They refreshed the mini back in June i think...
-
• #1070
it was updated in june. they are smaller in size now than the previous version
-
• #1071
I have that for the mouse, brilliant stuff, no need to take it out of the laptop.

I just realised the wireless mice I bought use this shell-free setup ^. I don't use those mice any more though. They were shit.

I need a student discount, so I can afford supped up 27" iMac.
Does it work with college students? I could give my MacBook to my stepdaughter and get the iMac on her. Or you need to be an uni student?
I just ordered a macbook and the guy on the phone asked if I was a student and what I was studying, but that was it. I even lied about my course (said computer engineering) so he wouldn't talk to me like an idiot and they didn't even check that I am actually a student at my uni. Saved a couple hundred off a macbook and about £500 off a £1600 macbook pro.
