  • It's just a house, there are many like it.. (but this one is mine.)

    Blade runner quote.

  • Full Metal Jacket, no?

  • It's that Vietnam film with Jimmy Savile, Apocalypse Now Then.

  • Probably a repost but about time

Does it cover the setting up offshore trust to buy a UK property, and then just transfer ownership of the offshore trust?

Because that's how the big money probably does it.

    I'm not sure
But true. I think every apartment in One Hyde Park is owned by an offshore holding company.

    Full Metal Jacket

"Day say ru braderunner" on the other hand..

I think something ridiculous like only three are owned by actual people.

  • Full Metal Jacket

    Nah, defo Bladerunner.

    You're thinking of

    Wake up, time to die.

    That's from Full Metal Jacket.

  • Of course, how silly of me. I'll go back to dreaming of my electric soldiers..

  • Goodnight sweet prince.

    (Robocop)

  • Removals firms recommendations: rocket van.

I paid for packing materials and removal to a storage place. 600 quid for 3 blokes to move one 2 bed house. In the time they stated.

  • Just so they can't be sued if you find out after moving in that your living room is an inch smaller than they said, because they measured it wrong.

  • Or maybe they're trying to trick you into buying a miniature house: "what is this, a house for ants?"...

  • Its a bit of luck that we don't post every single bit of estate agent stupidity that we come across on this thread.

    easy:

  • The Property Misdescriptions Act requires estate agent's measurements to be within 3 inches. They can't disclaim their way out of it, it's the law.

And I know what you're thinking (and you're right) knowledge like this makes me very popular at dinner parties.

  • Zoolander, do you even?

  • Wankfuck.
Apparently the work for 2014 on the house we want to buy is 17k. This was conveniently not included in the original documents we saw when viewing the property.

  • what kind of work?

  • Roofing, asbestos removal, fixing the block up. I think it'll be fine. But it's a bit of a fucker they didn't have those documents to show us.

  • have you paid? use this info to negoiate a reduction

  • Yeah. I think that's where we're going.

  • Lambeth Living.

    Anyone?
    Any experience of them?

Quoting repealed legislation makes you popular at dinner parties?
