  • I pay what I'm supposed to and make a point of paying what I'm supposed to.

He's taking the fucking piss. Do you think I should just keep my mouth shut?

  • I pay what I'm supposed to. It's morally right.

  • Tenancy fraud is apparently a victimless crime, but it really isn't.

I can't do anything about the tax evasion undertaken by the corporate friends of Dave and George, but I can about this.

He's taking the piss out of a system that's already on its knees.

  • you should watch council house crackdown bbc 1 tomorrow morning 09:15 it's great

The other day they caught this guy who owned a place with his mum and still managed to get himself 3 LA flats in Brixton and Croydon then sublet them out! The cheeky scoundrel then tried to buy one under right to buy after he was rumbled and under investigation

  • Tenancy fraud is apparently a victimless crime, but it really isn't.

    Exactly.

Also, people who use the word 'grassing' and think that reporting wrongdoing is a bad thing can >>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • I'll have to find it on the iplayer.

  • I'm effectively helping some fella buy a new 911 every year, as are all you other UK taxpayers. Grass on him.

  • you slaaaaaaaag

    etc

  • Not at all - I just hate the insinuation of 'grass'. It implies that people who mind the law/rules being broken are somehow petty and small-minded when the law and rules are what holds society together.

I'm not even arguing that people who commit very petty crimes or minor violations should be reported - there is a chronic shortage of social housing so effectively stealing it away from people who need it is morally despicable.

  • Much rebel. So anarchy. Very impress.

  • I'm not taking it personally, but I'm unimpressed at how open he was about it - he actually said "everyone's at it, aren't they?"

I explained that I had made sure that my own tax liabilities were minimised, I paid what I was supposed to on an annual basis and I didn't agree with him rinsing the system when I wasn't prepared to.

  • Not being a cheating lying scumweasel ripping off public funds?

  • Where did I say I had the moral high ground?

    How is my history relevant?

  • "everyone's at it, aren't they?"

Basically the standard phrase trotted out by people like that, when the reality is no, hardly anyone is actually - most people are fundamentally decent and honest.

Great way to justify it to yourself though.

  • I don't understand how he could fund a new Porsche out of subletting a poxy council house in Hackney - what am I missing?

  • Rinsing the system is one thing, brag about it and youre shoving a huge broken glass encrusted dildo up your own arse. If you want to scam the public purse keep your stupid trap shut. Otherwise expect someone to 'grass' you up just to see you get fucking rinsed by HMRC because that's what a stupid gobshite deserves.

I'm not saying anyone on here is clean but what I am saying that is if you are running any kind of scam and you think being mr billy big bollocks brag a lot about it is clever, you're going to get fucked and people will queue up to fuck you. Metaphorically.

  • Financing a car is absurdly cheap in Dubai, but you do have to have some cash to put down.

  • You can lease a 911 for a grand a month, aren't most flats in London more than that? #notalondoner
